This great little grinder will grind just as many whole cloves or all spice seeds as you need. The fine grind is prefect for baking. IThe ground spice goes into the bottom jar and not all over the counter like the electric grinders that wil not do just two cardimom pods, it that's all you need! LOVE IT

It works but it takes an extreme amount of energy and effort to just get 4 tablespoons of ground coffee. I love the concept but this is not practical.

I am really enjoying my new manual coffee grinder. I had an electric grinder for years, but this grinder provides me a more even and consistent grind--less powder and much easier to clean and maintain. I also like that I can pre-measure the exact amount of beans for whatever method I'm using, such as pour-over or using my Moka Pot. One tip: so that I can do a better job of keeping track of the grind settings, I used a Sharpie marker and made a circle at the end of one of the spokes on the washer that adjusts the grind. before using it, I tighened it all the way down, then I used the marked spoke to keep track of my setting as I adjusted it upwards (the grind is finer as you tighten the washer down and courser as you move it up). I would certainly recommend this for smaller batches of coffee. If you're using a drip machine, or making more than 2 cups at a time, you might want to make the investment of a good electric grinder. Overall, I am delighted with my purchase, and yes, the coffee has been amazing (especially since I buy my own green coffee and roast it at home).

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this. Yes, without an electric motor, it will take longer to manually grind. For a few cups in the morning, the time difference is pretty negligible—maybe a few minutes. If you’re grinding a bag at a time, or need a really fine grind, perhaps an electric grinder is better. But for a small amount at a fairly coarse grind, this is a really elegant, simple, and lovely way to start the coffee process.

Very simple design and easy to use. Perfect for occasional use or if you just don’t want a noisy automatic grinder. There is a coarse adjustment nut under the handle to determine how fine your grind is - it ships on the finest grind, so if you are spending more than a couple minutes grinding, this nut probably needs to be adjusted toward more coarse!

Great manual grinder. I’ve had it for 4 months now and going great. I use it to grind beans to make espresso every morning and it’s quick, simple and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Our family uses it daily because we don't like the sound of the electrical grinders. Love that we can adjust it to exactly what we need and the extra container is perfect to get use prepped a day in advance!

This was impossible to work. It took so long to grind, it would probably take an hour to get enough for two cups of coffee. The grind was uneven (when it did manage to grind some of the beans), and it was difficult to clean. Ended up trashing it and buying an electric one instead.

After my electric coffee grinder broke, I stumbled upon the Grosche Bremen manual grinder, so I decided to give it a try. I'm impressed! If you read the instructions and use this grinder accurately (which is not difficult, as long as you have more patience than the modern Twitter-bred attention span and a modicum of deductive/spatial reasoning skills), then you will be able to operate this device. It works with impressive accuracy (although it may take a few turns to adjust to your preferred grind size) and ease (although it takes significantly more time and physical exertion than an electric grinder). It also seems to be made for durability. Despite the reduced time efficiency and the learning curve of adjusting the grind size, I find this grinder a much more gratifying experience: It connects me closer to the whole coffee-making process, so I appreciate the work that goes into brewing a cup of coffee a lot more deeply, and I also appreciate the flavor that much more. I really do savor my coffee more mindfully now. I not only appreciate this coffee grinder for its accuracy and durability, but also for the whole experience it offers. I think it's worth the money - even if you only use it for weekends and special occasions when you feel like you have more time to use it.

I thought I could use this to make regular ground coffee into espresso ground coffee - but no. You might have to be super strong to grind from the whole beans. I didn't try it and I don't think I would have been able to. So wabi sabi though. Too bad.

I drink coffee but not lots, and have lived in apartments a lot, so I don't like excessive bulky items. So this was perfect in utility, compact size, well-made, and I also like that it helps provide clean water in places needing that. Being a conical ceramic grinder, the user can adjust the grind size to whatever they want. The extra jar/lid is handy when I have ground more than I would like to use immediately, and it is also easy to wash.

I bought this to customize my coffee a bit more. I like grinding my own coffee because I can go from a finer to a coarser grind coffee bean depending on how strong I want my coffee. It's not bulky so it's easy to store and it's a simple and modern model so I like how it looks just sitting out on my coffee bar at home. It's easy to use, doesn't get suck and super easy to clean.

I purchased this to grind my own coffee. One of the reasons I selected this one is because I could change the texture of my coffee beans. A finer grind provides a stronger, more bold flavor, which I love most days. Sometimes though, I just want a cup of coffee with just enough strength to get me thru the last few hours of the work day, but not keep me up at night. For that, I use a coarse setting so the water doesn't gain all of the flavor from the grounds, but just the perfect amount. Last weekend, I ground up coffee ahead of time to go on an overnight trip. There isn't anything better than having freshly ground coffee in the morning. The jars store the coffee very effectively too. I can grind on Sunday for the work week and it will taste as if I just ground them all week long. The seal on the jar is impeccable and keeps air out. I'm definitely happier having this coffee grinder in my life.

small enough to fit onto the counter without taking up to much space. Would recommend if you are trying to have more fresh tasting coffee in the mornings

Even though its manual, its very effective and gives you just the right grind needed. Effort less and smartly storable with the extra jar, its a great tool to have if you like fresh ground coffee. Must have if you are looking for one.

I love fresh ground coffee, but it's hard to find a good small grinder for one person in a small apartment, but this is it. It's the perfect size for just one pot of coffee without making too big of a mess. It also doesn't take up another outlet in my kitchen because it is manual, which is perfect. I also love how you can either do fine grounds or course grounds. With other grinders, you just have to base this based off of how much you grind the beans, but this is perfect. It's also super cute and aesthetic to include in your coffee bar section of your house, or if you want to store it, it's about the size of a large cup, so it wouldn't take up much cabinet space. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a small grinder.

I love the portability of the grinder and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Very durable and grinds really well. It’s very easy to use and is very easy to adjust. I would definitely recommend for anyone traveling but also works perfectly for home use.
