Prickly and Soft - Which?

I'm trying to duplicate the bedding in a rental condo. The manager is clueless. I know the comforter is a Casaluna and have narrowed it down to one (in my cart). I don't know about the duvet cover (the brand) but I know it was lightweight and soft in the rental condo. The reviews range from 'prickly' and uncomfortably scratchy to soft. How can that be? I'll order it and see for myself, I guess. Trouble is, Target is out of so much product, we're reduced to only one. Come on, Target! Get an inventory!

White isnt true white

I ordered the white set and it’s more like a cream than a pure white . When I have it against my white comforter or sheets, I can see a clear discoloration. I expected white to be white or else I would’ve ordered the cream set . Not thrilled with the color not being true white. Will return

Cream duvet

I really liked this duvet cover. It has a nice sheen to it. The feel of the duvet is more of a cotton feel. Some people might find it scratchy. I prefer this instead of a silky feel. I have washed it already and there was no tears or discoloration. I gave it 4 stars only because of the color, wish it was a little darker like a beige type instead of cream. A calming no frills duvet.

Dont buy this

I have done a significant amount of research into bedding, and have Casaluna sheets and pillows that I love, and I can genuinely say do not get this. The best way I can describe the way this feels is peach fuzz. It has almost a suede feeling to it? When people say it feels scratchy, it’s more like a million fibers standing on end that have a weird texture. It is not cozy/fluffy, nor is it that soft cooling feeling you’d get from 100% cotton. I am definitely returning this because bedding should be comfortable to snuggle up with, and this is not that. I give it 2 stars because the extra ties and zippers are very user friendly but you can get that elsewhere.

Rough fabric

This had such a rough fabric. We bought this and the hemp one not knowing which fabric we’d like the best. Kept the hemp and returned this one! The color was great, but the fabric just wasn’t soft enough to be comfy sleeping!

Too scratchy to sleep with

The duvet seems to be okay quality but it is so scratchy and itchy it’s like sleeping in a bed of sandpaper. I am not picky about bedding at all but this is just awful. Definitely would not recommend and wish I would have returned it. I don’t understand how other reviews say it is soft? Are they not all the same?

Nice duvet but quite large!

I guess maybe I’m still pretty new to the Duvet, but this one is alright. The fabric is soft and the color is neutral, so could go with everything. The only issue I had is that the sizing on this is “full/queen” but the down comforter I put in it (which was a queen) was basically drowning inside this thing. So maybe the sizing was off, but on a full sized bed this thing is pretty monstrous. I did notice instead of just corner ties on the inside there were also side ties, which helps your comforter from getting all twisted inside.

Horribly Scratchy Material

I wanted so badly to love this bedding set. It was a wonderful full cream color and the material was nice and thick. The ties on the inside of the duvet were really sturdy and easy to use. There was a zipper on the side that also made it really easy to put onto the comforter. The pillow cases fit well on our standard pillows. The only hold up was that the material of the Lyocell Cotton Blend Duvet and Sham Set was that it was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. We slept with it on one night and it was so scratchy and itchy. It felt like a light sandpaper. I tried washing it with detergent and fabric softener. It did not help in the slightest. I don't know what it is about the blend of the cotton, but it didn't work, at all! Overall, I would definitely not recommend this bedding set.

Beautiful.

Love this neutral warm toned bedding. It’s the perfect shade to go with many decor styles. I’m very into the clean crisp room looks and this goes so well. It’s really nice quality and I didn’t have any issues with piling after washing it. The material is nice and soft. The zippers are a nice touch on the duvet and pillow cases. It really keeps it secure. This fit my queen duvet perfectly too.

So soft and luxurious! The duvet fits absolutely perfect overtop my extremely thick down comforter without any struggle trying to put it on. And the pillow shams fit perfectly also which is usually not always true with other brands because my pillows are super big. And the material of everything is so soft, feels like I’m sleeping at a luxury hotel. Extremely impressed and satisfied

Not much more than a sheet

I was really excited about getting a new duvet to give the bedroom a much needed upgrade. It wad picked out online once I got it I was disappointed in this duvet and sham set. It was discribed as cream, the color is much more yellow then what I expect cream to be. It is also very thin, not much more than a sheet. Even with a blanket insert it is not very warm. Living in a cold mountian climate, this will not work for us. The one thing it did have going for it is the size. The full/queen gave plenty of overhang on our queen double pillow top mattress.

This duvet is very nice quality . Has very nice ties and zippers that seem very durable and will last . It is soft but not so soft that it will slide off the end of the bed. The only flaw I saw is right out of the package it is very wrinkly . You could either steam or throw it in the dryer to fix that though.
