Nice finish, poor assembly

First off, the seat hieght is 31", NOT 29". It does say so in the fine print, no idea why the top level text says 29". I bought 3 pair, but am returning 2 pair since they are a bit too high for my counter. They aren't horrible, but I don't like them so much I want to assemble more than two. They supply large screws for the lower spindles, but no way to hold the spindles still while you're screwing in the screws. But it's a decnt stool if you don't need anything fancy.
