Opened it sprayed it tasted like rubbing alcohol smells. Looked at expiration date and it was past the expiration date. Returned it.

It’s doesn’t go on the back of throat
I always buy mucinex products. This time I thought I should buy the sore throat spray. I got really disappointed the product doesn’t go on the back of throat. I even put the nozzle in the middle of mouth but spray go on your tounge not on the back of throat.

This was horrific, I tried this instead of cloroseptic and it truly feels like I had lidocaine injected into my tonsils and couldn’t swallow properly. It also burned until my whole throat went completely numb and then hurt even worse after it wore off.

Too good at numbing what you don't want numbed
I bought this about a week ago. Here is my recommendation: Yes, it will numb anything that it is in contact with and do it rather well. That being said, the delivery of medicine needs to be altered. My entire mouth and lips and throat were numb, as if I had gone to the dentist. But I only needed it in my throat. Consider a longer spray stream straw type thing like on WD40 so that it can reach your throat but miss your vital mouth functions so that you are still able to use the rest of your mouth to eat and drink.

Terrible!
I was excited when I saw the Mucinex name since I am typically a fan of their products. This spray burned my throat so bad that I felt better before I used it than after. Even a couple minutes later after the burning subsided my throat wasn’t even numb. It was a complete waste of money! Do not purchase!

Use With Caution
I could not find Chloraseptic, so tried this spray. Note the instructions to use one spray, then spit/rinse it out. I missed the rinsing out part. The taste was horrible, made my throat sting extremely badly for 30 seconds, then my tongue started swelling to the point I was afraid I would not be able to breathe. I started to head to the ER. Swelling subsided after five minutes, and then the numbing kicked in for an hour or so. I won't use it again.

Be mindful
I bought this for my wife less than 2 hours ago. She took two pumps and immediately had a negative reaction. Lips and tongue started to get a bit swollen and for a few minutes she could not even talk and got into panic mode. Luckily washing it out with water helped out and reduced the negative effect.
