Mucinex Children's Cough & Chest Congestion Medicine - Orange Creme Mini Melts - 12 ct

Why is there any reason to use aspartame in a children’s medicine? Great idea, poor ingredients.

My 4 yr old has not been able to keep anything down because he hates taking medicine that much. This was a game changer. I was expecting little balls, but it’s like powder. I told him this was like a pixie stix and he wanted to try it. We had no problems at all. I can’t say enough good things about it.

I can’t believe the reviews on this, if this made your child’s cough worse it was working. This is made to make break up everything in his/her chest there causing more coughing. My Kids enjoyed.

I went shopping at the other big box store that starts with a W, and a bug jumped on me and I got sick! I normally wouldn’t shop there but their printer ink was cheaper. Anywho, that night I felt my chest getting heavy and I knew I was getting sick. I chose the kid product because the adult pills are HUGE! I overall liked this product. Just don’t chew the granules! You will be sorry.

Where did the single-ingredient, guaifensin only , bubble gum flavor go? Please bring it back. The powder tastes better than the liquid.

It’s always a struggle for my 4 year old to take her medicine, but not with this! She loved the orange flavor and was always excited to take her next dose. It definitely helped with her chest congestion and there was a noticeable difference to the amount of coughing she had that first night.

My kids really like this and it works very well.

If you cannot take the pills or liquid this option is the best. The taste is orange cream. Easy for adults and children to take and works effectively. Took one star off because stomach side effects are hit or miss and are not fun when they hit.

We keep this in our medicine organizer when the winter season comes! The liquid mucinex for kids was not very palatable, this one my kids are more willing to take. I also love how portable it is- I’ll slip one in my purse if I know we’re going out and my kids might need some help with keeping their cough down while we’re out. I also love that it’s shelf stable and individually packed- I hate how cough syrup, once open, it can’t be saved for another cold, even if there is a ton left over. These little packets can be saved for another cold, maybe even for the next year. Cost effective!

I was very disappointed to find out this medicine has aspartame.

Purchased this for my daughter who is finally old enough to take it. She absolutely hated the taste of the liquid mucinex to the point where she was paranoid that every liquid medicine was like that. These taste much better than the liquid. Since this is a weird concept I showed my daughter how to take it by taking some myself. The taste reminds me of an orange Julius, remember those?! These do taste terrible if you bite them, so make sure your little one knows to swallow them (they start melting when they hit your tongue). My daughter chose to take a little at a time so she could figure out if she liked it. I will say it’s not her favorite and I know it will be hard to get her to take it in the morning, but she finished the tube which is more than I can say about the liquid mucinex.. She took it a few hours before bed and had an uptick in coughing, but hasn’t coughed at all while asleep. I have a bunch of post nasal drip from a sinus infection and I was surprised that the tube I took (same dose as my daughter) started thinning out my mucus and has been causing me to cough and break it up. I would highly recommend these over the liquid. My only complaint is Target over charging by more than $2 compared to other stores.

The taste really isn't bad. Like a mediocre Creamsicle powdered sugar candy. You have to swallow fast though, or the coating wears off and it's bitter. It's like a bunch of little pills. My kid doesn't love taking it, but she will take it, which is huge. Definitely seems to make a difference loosening mucus and helping her to sleep.

I was hopeful this could go in a drink to dissolve. It does not dissolve! Sat in Gatorade for an entire day and never dissolved. Also the taste is horrible. Doesn't dissolve in your mouth completely either. I have a kiddo in the spectrum and was hoping this could be an alternative to liquid but it failed. Super bummed!

A fun way for kids to take medicine. My only complaint is that the little melts don't melt away that quickly and my son complains about it.
