[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product in exchange for an honest review. Every year without fail, I always seem to "catch" a cold during the winter months. This year was no exception and it was the perfect time to try Mucinex HBP Liquid Gels - Cough & Chest Congestion. Since I was diagnosed with hypertension also known as high blood pressure, I have to be very careful about which cold medication I can take. Many of these types of medicine have a decongestant, which can raise blood pressure. That's why I was so happy when I learned that Mucinex makes a medicine specifically designed for people with high blood pressure. There are 16 liquid gels in one box. The gels are fast release formulated and are 40% smaller. I didn't have any difficulty swallowing this medication. The directions state that you can take 2 liquid gels every 4 hours as needed, without exceeding 12 gels in a 24 hour period. I had quite a few of the annoying symptoms that come with a usual cold. Yet after taking Mucinex HBP Liquid Gels, at least my cough and chest congestion were temporarily eliminated. Depending on the severity of my symptoms, I usually only had to take 4 liquid gels per day to get relief. There were two days when my cough was terrible that I did take 6 gels per day. I found this medication to be very effective that I didn't need to take anywhere near the 12 gels that are allotted for one day. This medication did not raise my blood pressure and I was able to get the relief I needed. Even though I do not have diabetes, this cold medicine is safe for people who do. It doesn't have any sugar or alcohol. Not only do you get relief but peace of mind as well. I would recommend Mucinex HBP Liquid Gels to anyone who has high blood pressure and wants to effectively eliminate cough and chest congestion.
