Set of 2 Constance Cross Back Dining Chairs - Buylateral

Would not purchase solely because they cannot be assembled when following all instructions. I have no idea how others got their chairs assembled. We returned these. It was a shame.

I was weary about purchasing these chairs because of the poor reviews, however I really liked these chairs. We followed the directions with no problem what’s so ever. I gave the chairs 4 stars because of the finish. The chairs scratch easily but overall they are solid!

These are really pretty chairs but were challenging to put together. We did end up needing to exchange one set and it was frustrating that Target couldn't facilitate this and instead we had to buy a new one (which was now more expensive) and return the damaged one. Additionally, I couldn't tell by the picture that there was an actual grove around the edge of the seat. If you don't have young kids this may not be an issue but in a house were milk is spilled and food is dropped daily, it will be a challenge to keep clean. Finally, the stain does not go very deep so be careful that you (or your young kids :-( ) don't scratch the surface or you'll see an unfinished surface glaring back at you.

The chairs are really pretty and seem like they will be great, but wow are they horrible to put together. The use of an Allen wrench for the whole thing! Bending metal to attached to the sides, and many of the pre drilled threaded holes were not correct. Out of 8 we order, 2 ended up being returned because damaged putting together or we couldn't get them together.

These chairs are really beautiful and exactly what I imagined. They are sturdy and surprisingly extremely comfortable. They were pretty tricky to put together, but with patience and an extra hand every once and a while, 7 of the 8 chairs were put together in about 3hrs. I have these chairs 4 stars rather than 5 because, due to the extensive assembly required, the likelihood of something not working is high. On the last chair we put together, there is a defective screw-hole that prevents the entire chair from being assembled. Unfortunately, Target will not send a replacement piece and I have to return both the chair that can't be assembled and one that's already assembled (the chairs come two per box) for a refund and then turn around and order another set. Rather inconvenient. If you're looking for a small, traditional yet slightly industrial/rustic chair, this is an excellent choice! The stain is darker than I envisioned (I have a walnut dining room table and the walnut-stained chairs are significantly darker than the table) but they still work well with my table!
