They leak from the collar for one no matter what you do once the nipple is squeezed. This is a newborn set and the nipples on them are a flow of 3… makes no sense

LOVE LOVE LOVE
Forget Dr. Browns!!!! These are AMAZING. I switched after two months of constant leaking & these don’t leak even from the nipple but baby also doesn’t have milk flowing down her mouth with these! They have 3 parts to clean, super light weight for glass and over all are just so nice!!

Leaks so bad
Why do these bottles leak so badly??? It’s almost impossible to get the lid on perfectly straight but even if you do they might still leak. We’ve been drenched so many times. So much wasted breast milk. The lid can be screwed on all the way, you can test it and still end up with milk leaking from where it screws on. They’re good besides that but this is a horrible flaw. I’ve bought multiple packages and they all do it. This should not be a thing! Fix this!!

Shattered into dust
Dropped by accident and shattered into glass dust. I don’t even know how to start cleaning my kitchen there’s so many pieces and literal dust. Baby hated them too. He couldn’t latch well on them.

Break easily, bad nipples
The nipples are so different and my baby struggles to get the milk, and the bottles break very easily… it’s a shame

Missing 1 bottle
I ordered this product for pickup at target. We opened this product and realized it has only 2 small bottles not 3. Not sure if it's company's fault or i got the used bottles. Also my baby is having hard time to get milk out of these. He kept sucking for 20 mins and only got like 5 ml.

Shallow latch
We only bottle feed on days I’m working. Other than that, we’re exclusively breast. These bottles are great (and he does really well with them), they just unfortunately have enforced a super shallow latch when we go back to breast :( If we wanted to transition to only bottle, this would be our winner. But for other working mamas who are mainly breast, there are better options out there!

Good set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The glass bottles are great for mixing formula, but we struggled with using the nipples for the 0m and had to size up.

Newborn babies tend to follow the same pattern when breastfeeding as they do while bottle-feeding. We recommend watching your baby’s cues to find the best nipple flow rate. The Philips Avent Natural Response nipples are available in flow rates from 1 to 5 in the United States and Canada and from 1 to 6 in other countries. Nipples with the highest flow rate 6 are more suitable for thicker liquids or babies who want a fast flow. Enthusiastic babies use strong suction and compression while drinking, resulting in greater milk flow. Therefore, they usually need a lower nipple flow, such as nipple number 1 or 2, to avoid overflow. Slow and steady drinking babies are likely to prefer a higher nipple flow (such as nipple number 4 or 5/6) to ensure enough milk flows, regardless of age. Start with the nipple that comes with the bottle and adjust from there. If you have no success after a few feeding attempts, change to a different nipple flow rate. Use a higher flow rate if your baby falls asleep during feeding, gets frustrated, or plays with the nipple instead of drinking. Use a lower flow rate if your baby is gulping the milk down or if milk drips out of its mouth during feeding. Perfect to use with Evenflo Wide Nipples
Glass bottles are great ~ we do not use the nipple that comes with these bottles as it was not recommended by our lactation consultant who wanted to make sure we promoted a wide latch for our breastfeeding baby. We use wide + balance Evenflo nipples on these bottles and it works perfectly (minus the cover ~ that doesn’t fit with the different nipple so we just rest it on top instead of closing it all the way)

Poor milk flow
I wanted to go with these bottles because they worked great in the past for my previous babies but sadly no milk comes out of any size nipples not 1 or 2 or 3 !! In the end I wasted so much pumped breast milk because my baby wouldn’t be able to finish in time for poor milk flow . Find another brand dr.browns on the other hand size nipple 1 milk flow came out too fast and my 1 month would get all wet . FYI if someone wants to go with them lol .

Hi Lidia, We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Avent Bottles. The Natural Response Nipple is different because it works like the breast, the flow is controlled by baby. Milk flow stops and starts based on your baby's drinking rhythm. For some babies it can take a few tries to get used to a nipple that doesn't always free-flow. If you have tried the same nipple a few times with little or no success, it may mean your baby needs a different nipple flow. Babies that have tried traditional baby bottle nipples, where the milk flows without pausing, might need a higher nipple flow with the Natural Response Nipple. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We're available 24/7 on Facebook and X. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

High quality plastic alternative
Avent glass bottles are high quality and do not break easily. I feel better knowing my baby will be exposed to less microplastics using these. They are quite heavy - a younger baby would likely be unable to hold the 8oz themselves vs the plastic version - and I think for the price, they really ought to come with the same number of silicone sleeves as bottles since they’re quite cheap to make. Nevertheless, I would recommend these. They clean better than plastic and are surprisingly aesthetically pleasing.

Horrible nipple flow
Received these as a gift for our baby. I love that they’re glass. However we’ve tried levels 1, 2, and 3 for my 2 week old and it took forever just for her to get 10 mL and by then she was tuckered out from trying so hard. Super unfortunate that we will have to try another brand. I wanted to love these so bad.

Overall not disappointed
I love that these bottles are glass and you can get varying sizes in this pack. We found that our baby girl was taking a long time to finish a bottle. Our lactation consultant told us it was likely the number one flow nipple and recommended going up one flow level. It still seems a little harder than some other bottles, but better than Dr Brown bottles that we felt flowed too quickly. One of the 8 oz bottles was shattered on the side. Philips customer service was great and replaced it. There was no cracking of the glass from the inside, so there was no harm to the baby.

Not like they used to make them
I purchased these two years ago with my first. Loved them, vest glass option out there in my opinion. I purchased them again for my second and nothing cane through the bottle nipples. Any of them. I thought maybe I got a defective batch. Opened a different box that had been gifted to me and same issue unfortunately. With different flow nipples too. They shouldn't be perforated or stretched either as flow has to be consistent with infant stage. I really hope manufacturer fixes this issue. They really were my favorite bottles.

Glass chipping
We liked them for the most part but 4 months of daily use and wash the tops are starting to chip which is so dangerous to have glass chipping on something your baby is eating out of. No one wants their baby to consume glass.

They came broken on arrival. Target did not package them well at all just through the bottle box inside of a big box with no protection. Going to try to return and reorder because unfortunately not offered in store in my state.

Manufacturer defect
Love the glass and ease of cleaning. However there must be some manufacturing defect I bought two starter packs and both had some bottles that the glass was cracked and then my store quit carrying them. I was able to get one full set and returned the defective set. I don’t have problems with leakage but I did learn the nipple valve does have to be aligned perfectly with the dimple on the nipple ring, not sure if that helps with leakage- I’ve had none or I wouldn’t recommend.
