Description

Philips Avent Natural bottle with the Natural Response nipple lets baby control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipples' unique opening and tip only releases milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm, just like they do when breastfeeding. Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple with a soft feel that mimics the shape and feel of a breast; plus baby controlling the flow of milk like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy. The ergonomic shape makes it comfortable for parents to hold and easy for small fingers to grasp. Assembly is simple with only a few parts and the wide bottle neck makes filling and cleaning easy. The Natural bottle is made from polypropylene, a BPA free material, and works with all nipples and caps from the Natural line. The Natural response nipples come in flow rates 1-5, to keep up with your baby's growth. Includes: 3 4oz Pink Natural bottles with Natural Response nipples, flow 2. SCY900/13

What to expect when introducing the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple:

-It's totally natural for your baby to take 2-3 tries to get milk flowing from a new bottle. Unlike traditional bottles the Natural bottle is designed to only release milk when your baby is actively drinking, like what happens when babies breastfeed.

-We have 5 different nipple flow rates for the Natural bottle. When looking for the right nipple flow rate, age is a guide, but your baby's approach to drinking and the feeding cues they will show will help determine when to move to a higher or lower nipple flow rate.

Packaging uses 100% plastic alternative, FSC-certified paper, with great potential to be widely circular for majority of product packaging.

I wanted to love these so bad! I used these with my son and i loved them, they didn’t cause any colic or gas in his tummy. Figured i’d use these for my baby girl as well but then realized she was taking a bit too long to finish her bottle. Came to found out nothing was coming out of these bottles. It was a complete waste of my money. I wanted to return these but had already thrown out the box.

We used these nipples from the start of birth and continued them until our little one was no longer on bottles. Very little gas and easy to clean! The only hard part was to tell the difference between brand nipple types.

Bottle top does not lock!!!

Bottle top does not lock on glass bottles and leaks. Baby has dropped milk on her clothes several times, very dissatisfied since day one of use and would not recommend. I’ve tried replacing the tops and it is the bottle itself. Waste of money.

Hi there, We are sorry to hear that you are facing leakage issue with your Philips Avent Baby Bottle. We would like to let you know that the incorrect assembly is the reason for leakage in 50% of cases. Make sure the nipple is inserted properly through the screw ring, and it is suitably tightened on the bottle without being over tight. Wet glass bottles are particularly difficult to close since they slip. Hence, it is best advised to dry the bottle before closing it. You may also follow this link for more information about how to avoid leakage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d19uSYc23E. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. Hope to speak to you soon! Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

Avent bottles are my favorite for pumping and for baby! The measurements are pretty accurate (some others are totally off). Holding the bottle is comfortable and they wash well. I love that they come in colors! Used this brand with all 3 kids and have been very happy!

We have been trying to use these bottles for 2 weeks now, and it is more painful than changing diapers. Our baby will suck for 20 minutes and not a single drop comes out, even with the vents matching up. I wouldn’t recommend these bottles to anyone and have officially thrown our entire sets of these bottles in the trash.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. This is not the experience we wish you to have with the Philips Avent Natural Response Baby Bottle. We recommend trying a nipple with a higher flow rate, as some babies may be accustomed to bottles where milk flows more easily. However, it's important to note that our natural nipples are designed to mimic the experience of breastfeeding, where babies need to exert some effort to extract milk. If you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X (@PhilipsCare). I don’t know what happened. I used these for my son in 2020 & I wanted them so bad for my daughter. Switched the nipple flow twice which cost me more & my daughter was still struggling to feed. 45-50 mins is not normal!

Hi Anahi, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. This is not the experience we wish your baby had with our Natural nipples. Please be informed that our Natural Response Nipple is available in nipple flows 1 to 5. You might need a higher flow as your baby is struggling to get milk out. We hope this was helpful. I'm a first time mom and thought these would be great for my baby she would suck on the nipple for so long and the milk wasn't even going in he mouth. It took forever for her to finish it and th measurements on the bottle are kinda off too. I will be returning them for something that works
1 reply from Philips team - 1 year ago
Hi Natasha, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear that there is no milk coming out from Philips Avent Bottle. We would like to suggest you that try out nipple with a higher flow since babies are sometimes used to other bottles where milk tend to flow without putting in any efforts. However, Natural Response Nipples are made as a replica of natural nipples where babies have to put in efforts to get the milk out of it. Also, watch for your baby’s cues to check if you need to change the nipple, and let your baby be the guide. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via Social Media. We're available 24/7 on Facebook and X. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Absolutely horrible. Do not purchase for a newborn. Was feeding my daughter for 2 hours and didn’t realize that she wasn’t even getting any milk. I felt so bad and immediately had to use a formula bottle I had. So sad and scary!

my newborn was sucking so hard because milk barely comes out of the nipple that it collapsed while feeding, first time using these bottles is this supposed to happen.? kind of disappointing since i threw the box away already.
1 reply from Philips team - 1 year ago
Hi Dee, Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. We are sorry to hear that your newborn is facing an issue getting the milk out of our Philips Avent Natural Baby Bottle with Natural Response Nipple. This is not the experience we wish you had. However, we would like to inform you that natural response nipples are made as a replica of natural nipples where babies have to put in effort to get the milk out of them. This nipple allows the milk flow to stop and resume again, much like when a baby feeds from the breast. Regardless of age, the amount of milk that comes from the nipple depends on how enthusiastically or consistently they consume as they grow. It may take a few tries for some babies to become used to a nipple that doesn't always flow freely. If you have repeatedly attempted the same nipple with little to no success, it's possible that your baby requires a different nipple flow. A higher nipple flow (like 4 or 5) is typically preferred by slow and steady drinkers to make sure they receive adequate milk at each feeding. If you experience a collapsed nipple or the nipple is drawn into the bottle, the anti-colic valve may be blocked or stuck together. Using tongs or clean fingers, pull the nipple from the bottle. Locate the valve, which is beneath one of the printed numbers on the nipple's base. Pull the nipple in a sideways motion, making sure the valve is on top while you do so. Pull firmly until the valve opening is visible. You may continue the feed once it's opened. You can also visit this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4PS6PS2aQQ for more information. We hope this was helpful. If the issue still persists, please get in touch via social media. We're available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon!
