Q: One reviewer said that the top height is actually 13" wide with the lip at the top but the pictures and specs say the width is 11.75". What is the correct width including the lip at the top?

Could have worked but...

I have been looking for a narrow piece of furniture for my basement bathroom for over a year now. I was super excited to finally find a maroon piece of furniture, but after building this I was unpleasantly surprised. The measurements provided fail to mention that the top piece of the furniture is wider than the narrower body; therefore adding about a half inch on either side of the furniture and making the piece wider. Measurements state the piece is approx. 12 inches wide, but in reality it is about 13-13.5
