Great cabinet- fabulous customer service
This can't works very well - sturdy and well made. Had an issue with a lost clip for the file system when we moved the cabinet. Customer service rep Jaimie was on it - and is sending a replacement!

Lateral File
Although assembly took many hours the product seems strong, sturdy. I like the emery oak color. Lots of space for hanging files.

Sturdy & beautiful, but wasted space
Assemble was not overly challenging, especially if you have experience with camlock assembly. The cabinet is beautiful and sturdy, however the file rails included leave a lot of wasted space.

Beyond disappointed
Quality is good, directions are good. HOWEVER, I SPECIFICALLY bought this to replace a later file BECAUSE IT SHOWED LETTER sized files hanging front to back. I HAVE A PERFECTLY good later file and ONLY bought this for the front to back ability to hang folders. I wasted all this money for the same type of file. There was even a comment saying you could hang front to back. MISREPRESENTATION AND A WASTE OF MONEY!

Great little filing cabinet!
I was very happy with how this order turned out. I had never orders anything from Sauder before. I was presently surprised at the quality and look of the piece. The instructions were easy to follow, the cabinet is sturdy, and it looks nice. I had one piece - the last to put on - the lock - had a little bend in the ring that went on the front of the cabinet. I went online to request a replacement part and it was shipped the next day! Awesome!

Excellent product and exceptional customer service.
My wife and I bought this product for an office in our new home. This product is beautiful and fits together perfectly. We experienced one issue with some parts, but were able to contact Sauder via online chat. There was no waiting, and it took less than a minute to get replacement parts shipped to us free of charge (with fedex 2-3 day). Couldn't be happier with this.

Terrible customer service, and they WILL NOT price match! Products are not worth the price I paid and some assembly pieces were missing. I regret that I purchased 3 pieces at once from this company. Don't do it.

Excellent in styling and construction, but color not accurat
I purchased several pieces of this Hammond Collection for my home office. The file cabinet is excellent in styling and construction. The only reason I'm giving a 4-star review is that the color of this collection's photos and description as ""blonde"" are not accurate. The color leans towards a more light gray color wash, then a blonde color. I viewed this collection on a professional photographer's monitor for more accurate color before purchasing and was expecting a blonde color. I did tell customer service my concerns, and I hope they change the color photos and description.

Doesn't fit letter size files correctly
I've bought several different brands of letter-sized hanging files, and each measure 11 3/4 inches wide. This product's notches in the bars are set to 11 inches wide. So, the only way I can use my letter-sized folders is to hang them side-to-side, not front to back. Not the end of the world, but for the price of this, it would have been nice to know this ahead of time, particularly since the photo in the ad shows them facing forward

Hard to review when I can't get it delivered!
I suspect if I ever get the product, it will be as good or better than any other Sauder product I have enjoyed. But for now I have some of the boxes and I am unable to assemble anything and I have been waiting 27 days. It is hard to build a desk when you have half the parts and no hardware. It is hard to add a hutch to a file drawer that is not here. Estes is the freight company and they are horrible. Sauder told me they would try again with another freight company and then used Estes again. This should not be this hard.

I have another Sauder 2-drawer lateral file that Ive had for many years and figured this one would be the same. Not! I didnt realize that this model would be so different. There is so much wasted space! My other cabinet has 2 rows of files in each drawer without any wasted space. The one I just bought has wasted space no matter whether its configured with 2 rows or one in each drawer. The only things I like about this model is the color and the way it looks. It works in the room that I need it in, so Ill keep it.

A solid, functional, pretty file cabinet.
Like another reviewer said this really comes in handy when working from home. My husband put this together by himself (with a small power drill) in about 2 hours give or take. Like anything from Sauder, it does require assembly and comes in a million bits and pieces. However this was astronomically easier to put together compared to the Hammond executive desk (ha!) Anyway, it looks great, is a great size, and functions very well. The quality is good and I do not think it's too expensive. In fact I'd say it's right on par with the quality and size. There is tons of room for storing hanging file folders; can't imagine ever filling it up. I do plan on getting one or two more pieces from the Hammond collection to finish my home office.

It looks quite nice once complete and is sturdy. Ridiculous price for how much you have to do to put it together. The directions could be much better and they do the bare minimum prep. I would not buy it again unless fully assembled. My husband and I are not wasting three more hours of time.

NO. . . . not unless it is pre assembled. .
Looks nice now that it is put together. Assembly was a total nightmare. Parts were missing. Directions are awful. . Took 6 hrs for 2 people to put together. Should come assembled. . . . should not have to go thru that aggravation after paying 300. 00 for it.
