The base is sturdy enough it can be used on a flat surface or it can be used even in the grass. Would highly recommend.

Remove the base bars. If windy, fill it all the way up and check the wind eating for your umbrella.
The assembly was effortless. I thought it would just slide onto the existing cross bars on my umbrella, but for this stand, you remove them entirely. It is so easy to move even without the wheels. I haven't yet emptied it for long term storage but it looks like it will last a while.

Works as expected
It works exactly as you'd expect. Could be thicker plastic but functional. 1 star off for the cheap wheels which makes maneuvering harder. I filled with water and it holds the umbrella just fine even in the wind.

Super Sturdy!
This weighted base is great! I was looking for something fairly affordable with a lot of weight That would allow me to leave my umbrella up throughout spring and summer. We have had some pretty substantial winds these past couple weeks, 20-30mph, and the umbrella has not moved. Couldn't be happier. The wheels are a nice addition for mobility, I have not yet tried moving mine around so I am not sure how they work once the base is filled, but it rolled well at about half full. Plus. It comes with shorter metal brace brackets. Really great as the standard that came with the umbrella would stick out past this base.

Fifth purchase and counting.
This will hold your own Umbrella securely in place no matter what the wind . Love this so much I have already purchased five.
