A: Dear Suanne. Unfortunately this Roman Shade design requires a 2 1/4" inside depth. Therefore it will be unstable for your window. However, you can still do outside mounting if you purchase this roman shade 4" wider than your window shade width (You need 2" of overlapping on each side).
