This play mat is large and heavy duty/thick. You can use either side. It is more for inside use because it's white on one side. It has a slight cushion to it and lays flat every time it's used.

Its plush so can be used on wood flooring with enough cushion, large enough for rolling children to have enough space. Love the design and honestly you could use both sides. The farm pattern is adorable and the plaid pattern on the opposite side is so nice. My son loves it. He kept returning to it to sit and play. I would include more picture but it is in the wash due to a peanuts butter sandwich incident. I would definitely recommend this for nursery devote or as a tummy time/ play mat.

A close friend registered at the usual places and I refuse to give a gift of a drying pad for bottle nipples, etc. I think a gift should be pretty! The basic stuff - write the mother to be a check and let her buy that herself. I went off the grid and bought this beautiful gift - the Caspian Quilted Play Mat (Whale) and I was glad I did - it is soft and the colors are vibrant and who doesn’t love the whales? So fun.

Super cute tummy time mat! The mat isn’t particularly large, so it’s good for smaller spaces. The padding is nice and the design is adorable!

I purchased this to go along with the Parker wallpaper and the colors in the mat are totally different than the wallpaper. The mat colors are more peach and brown tones, not the vibrant pink and blush shown on the website.

Very soft and good quality. Not super thick but just enough cushion for my three month old for playing and tummy time. Washed up nicely too. Seems like a pretty good value for the money.
