Not gluten free like labeled
Avoid if celiac!! They are labeled gluten free on the front but on the back say they are manufactured with wheat!! Should not be listed gluten free. They taste terrible as well.

We follow all allergen policies set up by the FDA to verify that our lines are clean, and we have validated allergen cleaning procedures to ensure that all previous allergens have been removed. We also do extensive finished-product gluten testing conducted by a third-party laboratory that is an AOAC International certified lab for gluten testing and competence.

I've been trying to find a healthier snack bar and heard this brand was pretty popular as a good alternative. I purchased these Dark Chocolate Almond and the Banana Bread bars but they were so dry I could barely eat it without water. I want to try some of their other products because the flavors sounded promising, but after this experience, it kind of turned me off.

Seems different but still healthy
I have been buying these for several years now. They are quality ingredients. However, the last 3 boxes that I have purchased have been more "dry and crumbly in texture'. They just don't seem to be quite as soft as they were before. They are not cheap for the size either. Not giving up on these yet, I will give them another try. I do love simple mills products overall, so I hope these go back to the original quality that I'm used to getting with this brand.

Reformulated, not as good
These used to be a 5 star item. Still 5 for ingredients, but they reformulated the bars recently and the shape and texture aren't very good now. It seems like the ingredients are the same as before, so idk. I'll still keep a few strategically placed bars for when I'm out and need to eat but there's no other allergen safe food options, but I won't use these as breakfast bars or have them on a regular basis anymore unless they go back to the original version.
