Q: I opened the first tube and the end was open, assuming it was a 1 off production issue I let it go and threw it out. Opened the second tube and the same issue! The seam isn’t closed on the end! Has anyone encountered this issue?

Maybe the bad taste everyone complains about is because of the foul bacteria containing water used to produce it
Had finally narrowed down my choices to try a new toothpaste and then read about a finding of multiple harmful bacteria found in finished product at their production facility. Looks like I'll never be purchasing this brand ever. Surprised I didn't see any reviews mentioning it.

Left bitter/sour aftertaste
I bought this in a 2 pack and used it once. Hoping I can return it because it tastes absolutely dreadful! I used Tom’s peppermint toothpaste years ago and remember it tasting really fresh and clean but this version just made my mouth feeling dry and left a bitter/sour aftertaste in my mouth. Returning if Target will let me if not, I’ll be throwing away two full tubes away. I’m disappointed.

Great, natural toothpaste
Over the years, I've been trying to find a natural toothpaste that I could easily and conveniently buy and that would be good for me, and this is the one. I've been using this for years, and have nothing but good things to say about this. The peppermint isn't overwhelming and so far, my dentist says my teeth have been great; no cavities. So, yay! I do like the whole care features; it helps to keep my mind and teeth at ease, knowing that this is a natural toothpaste and it's being care for.

Tastes gross
This toothpaste, while free of many undesirable chemicals, tastes horrible. I was really disappointed when I tried it and will not be buying it again. Burt’s Bees makes an amazing, similar product but Target seems to have stopped carrying it, unfortunately.

Balls of goo?
I used the fluoride and SLS-free Tom’s toothpaste when struggling with perioral dermatitis and really liked it. Now that my PD is more or less under control I figured I’d re-incorporate fluoride, so I tried this. It’s the weirdest toothpaste. Weird taste, doesn’t make my mouth feel clean, and every time I brush I’m left with white balls of goo all over my tongue. Almost like the toothpaste pills? So bizarre. I also developed a scalloped tongue after using it for a few days - can’t say for absolute certain it’s related, but it’s a very odd coincidence if not. Back to the other version for me, and when I want fluoride I’ll definitely use something else.

It's great! The texture and peppermint flavor are quite pleasant. I love that it's vegan, and that the origin, and purpose of the ingredients are provided on the website. For me, no other toothpaste will ever compare to this. Plus, this has fluoride, which is the only thing that can protect enamel and prevent cavities. Every other brand only makes fluoride free, which is idiotic. Everyone, fluoride isn't dangerous, stop being ignorant and protect your teeth. Also Tom's, please sell in Brazil!

Changed formula
They changed the formula!! I used to like this toothpaste. I picked a new one up a few days ago and noticed an immediate taste and texture change. At first I thought I was overthinking it, until it felt like my gums felt a little raw. I check the label of my old toothpaste and yep. Added titanium dioxide. Guess that's what the nasty feeling is. No more Tom's toothpaste for me!
