Love these chips, not this flavor
I have been buying Wilde brand chips for over a year. I love the crunch. I really appreciate having clean ingredients and they fit well with my keto diet. Unfortunately, the seasoning for the chicken and waffles flavor has been changed. These used to be my favorite! I've purchased twice hoping that I had a bad bag - but sadly no. They taste burnt and have an unpleasant aftertaste. I love the other flavors: spicy queso, salt and vinegar, buffalo, plain/salt. I just won't be buying this flavor again.

I enjoy Wilde chips as a "healthier" option for when I want something crunchy. Found the Chicken and Waffles flavor and was excited to try them. Initial flavor is strong maple, which I didn't mind. The aftertaste is not as enjoyable tho, so I won't buy this flavor again. I will stick to the Buffalo, Korean Sweet and Spicy, or Salt and Vinegar.

Bad Aftertaste
Expectations were high with the wonderful packaging and thoughts of chicken and waffles. With first tear of the bag the smells of chicken and waffles waft into the nares and mouth watered. Initial taste was good, but….. then the aftertaste. Horrendous. Couldn’t get the taste out of the mouth fast enough. 5 adults and 3 children were only able to have one chip each. Lower expectations with this product.

Chicken and waffle obsession
Obsessed with this flavor. I get multiple bags when they’re on sale because I will eat 2/4 mini bags the day I buy them. I do not like other protein chips but these are sooo good. I feel bad about the amount of packaging for most snacks, but at least I can use the big bag these come in as a small trash bag. The seasoning is so delicious and I wish they would sell it separately. I would put it on toast with butter.

Different, and just okay for me
Got these out of curiosity and hey, protein. These taste like nothing else and while the flavor is unique, ultimately it’s just okay for me. Probably won’t repurchase. Although I know the ingredients and taste profile is different, I much prefer the Quest spicy chili protein chips.

Wonderful chip option. Worth the spend. I only eat these or nothing else. These are delicious crunchy. Packed flavor the spicy is no joke. The chicken and waffles is yummy. Highly recommend if you like bold flavors and want to check out something tasty.

Would not buy again
Maltodextrin and waste byproduct seed oil to poison your liver and pancreas. Enjoy if you don’t mind becoming diabetic or having a non alcoholic fatty liver. Seed oils can take over 1.5 years for your body to remove…this gave me terrible inflammation. I’m used to eating gross things as a bodybuilder but this is just poison and has the texture of egg whites spray painted onto a hot grill with sugar and protein powder and it’s very mealy and gritty. I would choke it down if i thought it would do my body good but I really think this does more harm than good . Way better easy protein options out there that don’t poison you in the process

As a food chemist myself, I felt the need to comment on this chip, which I rarely ever leave reviews. This food is odd.The texture of the chip is a bit strange, but ok. Initial taste is maple, middle taste chicken, then end note is dog kibble. You only realize the dog kibble taste after 2 or 3 chips in a row. 2 stars for effort. Hope they reformulate this one.

Tastes just like honey bunches of oats cereal. I love that there is a sweet option so I can alternate between sweet and salty chips. Decent amount of chips per serving. I love that it is made out of chicken. The BBQ flavor tastes just like Lays BBQ. I don't feel like I am missing out on potato chips. I can eat these without the guilt. A but pricey but worth it if you are low carb.

Bought these for the novelty of them and more protein is always good. But man I can't force myself to eat more than 3 or 4 of these chips. The so called hint of buttery maple flavor is the overly dominant flavor before it changes into a gritty almost burnt flavor before the chicken bits left in your mouth start to rehydrate. I had to check the bag again to make sure this wasn't some sort of dog treat left out on the wrong aisle.
