Decent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good decent short grain rice. It's comparable to most of the short grain rice I've bought from the Japanese market. Easy to cook and eat. There's instructions for pot cooking but I just used my rice cooker and used a 2-1 ratio.

Did not disappoint

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While most people would say “rice is rice” I don’t see it that way. Yes it matter how you prepare it, but the quality of the rice also matters. This rice definitely did not disappoint. The texture was great and I had absolutely no problems cooking, and especially eating, this rice. Family ate it up quickly.

Great rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our whole family has loved this rice. It comes in pre portioned bags. I have only made this in my rice cooker, following the rice cooker instructions. The rice has come out perfect every time. The rice is short grain/similar to a sushi rice. It tastes great and works well plain as well as fried rice the next day. I highly recommend this rice.

Rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This white Japanese rice is extremely delicious. I put a ratio of 1 cup of rice to 1 cup of water which cooked it to a moist, sticky consistency which is my preference. This is my favorite along with Jasmine which is cooks similarly.

Great Tasting Rice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice is delicious! The taste and texture are of high quality and the rice stays fresh due to the ingenious packaging. The rice comes in a package just over 3 pounds and is separated into 300 gram smaller packages inside. It is very convenient for cooking as I just use one package at a time to cook the rice in my rice cooker. Would definitely recommend.

Quality rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We eat rice almost every day of the week and tried all kind of brands and rice and the quality of this OHYAMA Nanatsuboshi Japanese Premium short grain white rice is definitely on the higher end. Each bags contains 2 cup of rice and the rice was perfect out of the rice cooker, not too dry not too smooshy and had just the right texture. Overall, we all enjoyed this rice and will most likely get it again once we run out of it.

Almost expired rice

This item was delivered 2/16/23 and it shows a best by of 3/15/23. I don’t know how it was stored and if it would taste fine this close to expiration. This is your heads up on this rice. It shipped from Mesquite, TX. I put in a return request so will need to print up the label & drop it off:(

Delicious Rice From Japan

I cook them in my instant pot for 8 mins with 500ml of water for 1 bag of rice and add butter after it’s done. They’re my family’s favorite rice!

Light and Airy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a Premium Short Grain White Rice, From Japan. My family eats a lot of different types of rice and we really enjoyed this rice. This packaging is so convenient. There are 5 individually sealed bags of 2 cups of rice in this package. I like that it is already measured and all you have to do before cooking is lightly rinse with cold water. So easy! This rice Is harvested and imported right from Japan. It tasted fresh and wasn’t to sticky. It was light and airy which we like. We have use this rice in several dishes and it went very well. This is a good product that we are definitely glad we tried.

Great Rice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having never tried a short grain rice, I really enjoyed this rice. It cooks up easily and it is different than long grain rice in texture. It seems more “substantive” than long grain rice. I would purchase it and use it instead of long grain rice.

Japanese short-grain rice, perfect for sushi!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Japanese rice from Hokkaido cooks up into plump round grains. Also, once cooked there's a certain stickiness to it. It would be perfect consistency for making sushi but it would also be great in rice bowl with toppings. The bag comes with 5 individually wrapped rice packets, which saves the measuring work.
