Sizing is way too small.
Purchased these at a local retailer, yesterday. Washed them before having the child wear them, of course. Now, they are at least 2 sizes too small. Package said size 12, but these are now almost the same size as the child's old size 8 underwear. What a waste of money. Posting pictures of Hanes purchase compared to a competitor's, which actually fits.

Softer than ever sandpaper
I bought these for my daughter. Did you really use the description "softer than ever"? I think I could use these to sand a 2x4. I thought maybe they'd soften after washing, but no they are still equivalent to fine grit sandpaper. I will no longer purchase Hanes products.

Huge holes with the very first wash
My daughter is 11 and I've be byuing this brand ever since she was out of diapers with no problem. But I just bought 2 packets of size 12 and with the first wash they went to pieces! Huge holes around the elastic, open threads. Had to throw half of them away the first week and keep throwing more with every wash (we're on 3rd week and only 2 are still wearable). And just to point out that they actually are quite loose on my daughter as she just moved up to this size, so it's not like she stretched them. I feel like I just threw my money away. Scared to purchase same brand again, not sure what's happening with the company.
