I ordered THESE from Target at a more expensive price instead of another co. because they said they’d be delivered in 2 days and then they changed their delivery date after purchase. Then I had nothing but issues when setting them up. They wouldn’t pair. I have another set (same set) and no issues in 3 years. Now on Christmas they are not working at all and half the tree isn’t lit. We tried everything and the controller is in fact bad. These should be flawless at this price point.

The lights are two separate strings of lights coming from the control unit despite the display image making it look like they're one straight line
In short, I like having string lights strung up around my living room, but the way my outlets are placed, I need to have one continuous string of lights to set it up properly. These lights aren't cheap, but I figured I'd spring for them, and I was upset to see that the lights are set up such that it's two separate bundles of light stemming from the control unit instead of them being one continuous string of lights. One of the images does show two bundles of lights, but it looked to me as though one bundle connected to the other (I already used velcro zips to shorten the slack between my daisy-chained normal string lights so I figured I could do the same here). I double checked that I didn't just misread the item description or overlook something, but nothing seems to mention how the lights are organized, so to me, this felt like deceptive advertising. The lights themselves seem to be of a nice quality, but the app kind of skeeves me out that you need to sign up for an account and explicitly check a box allowing them to sell your data to continue.

Hi there! The product is described on the website to be in two strands, for technical purpose to guarantee always the best performances possible despite the extra length of the cables. In any case please consider that you can simply spread open the two strands to use all the length, mapping the product, in fact, the effect will work following your layout 😉 More on twinkly.com > help
