Q: How is this suitable for 12 months?! This seems like it should be recommended for older kids as these are choking hazards.

submitted by Concernedparent - 6 months ago
  • A: The coin is not removable and the balls are 4.6cm

submitted byMC - 6 months ago
  • A: The balls wouldn’t fit in a 12 month olds mouth.

submitted byMarie - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi Concernedparent. We take safety matters very seriously. The balls in this set must pass a specific gorge test in order to pass ASTM guidelines and safety regulations. We genuinely appreciate your feedback and concern. The Battat Team

Q: Is this toy packaged in a box?

submitted by Madlin - 6 months ago
  • A: Hi Madlin. The B. Gumballs machine does not come in packaging through the manufacturer. If you are having it shipped to home, we recommend that you contact Target CS to see how it will be packaged and shipped to you. The Battat Team

  • A: No it is not. It just comes with a tag attached to it.

Q: The coin seems sort of small, so it's a worry. Can the dial be turned without it, should the parents feel that the coin isn't safe? (One-year-old)

submitted by Hope - 1 year ago
  • A: Thank you so much! I didn't think to look at the video. This is perfect, and if I ship it today, it will get there by her birthday!

submitted byHope - 1 year ago
  • A: Hi Hope. The coin on this set is part of the Gumball Machine structure and it is not made to be removed. It is the button you push down (not turned) on to get a gumball to go down the chute. If you are unsure, please watch the video on Target's product page. Thank you. The Battat Team

submitted by Frankie - 4 months ago
  • A: Hi Frankie. The Rainbow Gumball machine is not made to be taken apart and this will damage the toy and may create a safety issue. Thank you. The Battat Team

submitted by Mallz - 5 months ago

2 year old Choked

My son just choked on a ball, good thing I was around. These balls break in half really easily! Please don’t leave your child unattended while they play with this. Love the idea of the toy but the balls are not safe…

Just one missed direction....

After you remove the tape, you can take out all but 2 balls. These 2 balls are in another plastic container but there's no instructions on how to get them out. I was trying everything - even lifting the "shoot," but it wouldn't come out. Finally, I was able to grab the edge of the plastic they were in & pushed it through. Then I cut them out & all was right in the world! Product is well made & my grandson loves it!

Be careful!

My one year old loves playing with this. But he loves to throw the balls around and one ball broke in half and he put it in his mouth and choked on it. I'm writing this just to warm other parents of the risk! The balls are fragile if they are thrown around and pose a choking hazard!!

Auntie and Mom Approved!

My niece says her toddler really enjoys this toy alot. She said her daughter quickly learned how to drop the balls into the top. But it took her a min to figure out how to press the coin button to make ea ball drop. Because I read the reviews I asked my niece and she confimred the balls are stacked 1-to-10 from the bottom. The 1 and 2 balls are in a plastic sleeve. After removing balls 10-to-3, the plastic sleeve w/ the #1 and #2 balls has to be pulled up the spiral - or else the balls won't drop. Once the sleeve is removed, then one ball drops each time the coin is pushed. (The coin is not removable). My niece says the balls are too large for her toddler to fit in her mouth, so she doesn't worry about choking issues.
