I bought 2 of them for my 3 & 5 year old. They are a little fluffy for my 3 year old but I read the reviews and removed 1/4 of the foam and it’s perfect. They are so soft and comfortable for them. The zipper on the pillow case is locked so only adults know how to unzip them which I love!

NOT a pillow suitable for toddler or small child
I needed a “toddler pillow” (my search term for Target app) in a hurry. Ordered this one for same day delivery to accommodate surprise visit from toddler grandchild. This pillow was listed as suitable for crib. Grandchild is 2 and this pillow would be a neck breaker for even me as an adult! It’s terrible; it doesn’t give at all under pressure from a head. I’m just getting around to returns to Target to get my $15 refunded but I’m seeing the return window is listed as Dec 26 which is the SAME DAY I BOUGHT IT TO BE DELIVERED. Still will take it to store since it’s terrible & they can just have it back if I’m not even getting a refund. There’s no way this pillow is for a toddler. Do not recommend

Customizable - take out some fluff!
People don’t seem to know that with shredded memory foam pillows like this, you customize it to your needs by taking out some of the foam. I left my daughter’s decorative pillow fully-fluffed, and took out about a 1/4 of the foam for the one she sleeps on.

BEWARE
DO NOT BUY!! The tag on the pillow states it contains polyurethane and it SMELLS LIKE CHEMICALS. This is marketed towards children and is completely unsafe for them to use. I didn't realize it completely reeked of chemicals until I laid down with my child at bedtime. I've never had a pillow need to "off gas" before like a freaking carpet. This is diagusting, target should take this off the shelves.

Too fluffy for smaller kids
Very comfortable and soft, but not an in between firmness. My toddler is getting uncomfortable with the flatter toddler pillow so thought this would be good for him. He couldn't sleep with it & kept waking up because it was too tall for him. So just keeping it for later use & had to go back to the flatter toddler pillow.

Too Thick for Kids
The pillow is too overstuffed. It’s supposed to be for children, but really it’s made for a side sleeping adult. It’s far too thick for a child. It’s giving my almost 5 year old neck pain so we’ll need to buy another pillow now.

Not good for young children
Giving 4 starts because I think it’s too thick and dense for a young child. My son is 5 years old. I don’t feel comfortable with how his chin is resting on his chest because of the density of this pillow. However I think it’s a great pillow for older kids, and even adults. I use it now.

It’s not a bad pillow for the price, considering that it’s stuffed with foam. It’s overstuffed, which makes it a bit uncomfortable, but this was solved by removing some of the stuffing. It’s just a bit messy to remove. It’s a good size for someone who needs a slightly smaller pillow like a child or perhaps for a travel pillow.

Flattens over time
From a kid POV, these are probably fine. No complaints from my young children. From an adult POV, these looked so fluffy when we first got them I worried it would be too big for my kids, but they have now flattened out over 2 months…like 50% flatter. And I actually find it pretty soft and not firm at all. Which may be good or bad depending on who’s using the pillow. As someone who sometimes sleeps on this pillow (when I’m reading to my daughter), this was so soft and flat. So worry not if you think it’s too tall for a kid; it’ll flatten out and probably be perfect. If you’re a petite adult like myself and wanted a smaller pillow, it’s not going to give enough support.
