C Cattleya 2-Light Farmhouse Rattan Ceiling Flush Mount with Glass Bottom(E26)

The positives: it’s a good size, charming shape & material & looks very pretty lit or unlit! The not-so-positives for whomever is installing this: the orientation of the clover (quatrefoil) shape matters to most homeowners, and the installation plate sometimes works out & sometimes not (holes are not where you need them to be so you can adjust fully)—the kicker is you likely won’t know until you’ve already gone through the trouble of installing the plate that goes on the ceiling junction box, got it wired up and are placing the body of the light in place when you realize the shape placement is wonky—it’s not like spinning a pendant or chandy because the shape is affixed to the body. The other irritating thing is that the screws that affix the body to the ceiling can’t be too long, but they are also short enough that getting them through the holes will cause swearing from whomover is trying (we both tried). We prevailed luckily and love the light in our pantry. With my interior designer hat on: this is playful and casual, and the wicker is light (raw?) & unfinished. I like it for smaller spaces and if someone was super crafty they could *carefully* paint the wicker to get an even more cute outcome, maybe a stripe around in red or pink?! The light cast through the wicker is more golden, so if you need pure white lighting (we were originally going to install in a closet, but then pivoted to our pantry) I would go for the linen-look version instead.

The light itself is cute, but it is a lot lighter in color than pictured and a total pain to install. The screws to attach to the fixture to the ceiling are too short, making install very difficult. Getting the glass bottom on is also very difficult due to the shape of the light and the tabs. Not looking forward to having to take that off to change the bulbs.

The appearance is misleading. The wicker is very very light not at all caramel looking but more natural or off white. Returning item.

I love that this flush mount is not made of plastic. The rattan shade and glass face make this a quality piece that also looks great. It was an easy installation, less than 30 minutes. The flower shape make this a great addition to a child’s room, I installed it in a hallway. Everyone who has seen it has remarked that the light is unique and very attractive.

This light fixture is so cute! We bought it for a playroom and it looks perfect in the space. Make sure you use higher lumen light bulbs since the frosted glass and rattan siding dims the light a lot. It definitely is easier to install with two people.
