Its a pretty polish (with some conditions)
I wanted a milky white manicure look at home without using gel polish. This applies nicely, but is moderately streaky until the 3rd coat. It's a jelly formula, so it's not SUPPOSED to be opaque by the 1st or 2nd coat, but that doesn't mean jelly formulas can't apply SMOOTH by the 2nd coat. White translucent polishes are tricky to apply in general though. I have the mauve-ish color from the jelly gloss collection as well. It applied very smooth and evenly and didn't have a single chip by the time I took my polish off a week later to change the color. I think 3 coats is a tad too opaque for the milky look I was going for, but my nails still look very pretty and classy. I could maybe get away with 2 coats after some application practice. It's a nice, versatile polish- just has a bit of a learning curve. It looks like a gel manicure, so that's nice. I topped mine with Sally Hansen's insta dry top coat just to speed things up, since I had to use 3 coats of polish until it wasn't patchy looking. It's pretty... but I just wonder how long this $12.50 bottle of polish will last me since I'll be using 3 (maybe 2?) coats with this one.

i really wanted to try jelly nails, but couldn't drag myself to a salon. this is perfect for an at-home manicure. i love that it's buildable so you can really play around with how sheer or opaque you want it. this was 3 coats topped off with ethereal escape from their special effects line!

Disapointed
The color in the photo is way lighter and more jelly than how it appears in person just in the bottle. Upon application the first coat is thin and jelly however each additional layer just makes it cloudy and bubbly.

Streaky and not really jelly
Streaky. Not jelly. Not transparent unless you do one coat (which looks streaky). If you specifically want jelly polish don’t get this one.

No Really A Jelly Polish
It’s a really nice color but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for a jelly polish. The sheerness and opacity is super uneven so it just ends up looking like a polish with bad opacity rather than an intentionally sheer polish. Will definitely be returning unfortunately :(

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great solid polish. The texture is thin but it adheres to the nail nicely. I like that this formula allows for buildable coverage. This took three coats but the drying time was fast! The classic Essie packaging never misses and the smell was no more overbearing than other polishes.

Sheer jelly gloss
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The orchid jelly shade is the least sheer out of the blue and dusty rose color I received. The purple color is pretty however I did not want to paint several coats to get it somewhat opaque. I like that the coats stay thin so it doesn’t feel too thick.
