Disappointing - baskets are drawers with no shelf!

The baskets fit into slots to slide in and out like drawers, but they barely glide - very tough to slide. Due to this, they will wear out very quickly - but there is no solid shelf under the baskets, just a hole. This will render the item useless in short time. That said, this came shipped in one piece, with just the legs to screw in. The white washed gray was very nice, but the color of the baskets were garishly contrasting - it was not a harmonious look at all. Quite disappointing.

I would keep looking...

I love the size and the quality isn’t terrible but the other comments were right. The baskets are the worst and definitely shed.

Cute!

This is a great tv stand and is a very cute staple piece of our bedroom. It was well packaged and arrived safely without a scratch. It came mostly assembled, I just needed to attach the legs. It’s a very sturdy material and the baskets are solid. I love the cute baskets for tucking away books and decor, and the shelves in the middle are great for setting up a console.

Okay for the Price

Very quick shipping on this (big!) box. It’s a nice unit, fits the space perfectly. The baskets are a bit rougher to the touch than I expected, but it’s okay. The finish on the wood is also a bit less polished than I expected for the price (think: one step above the pressed wood you can get for $100+), and the top feels a bit thin — I wouldn’t invite a visitor to use it as a stool, I think it would cave in. But for a mid-priced piece of furniture, it serves its purpose and looks nice in the space.

Rough finish

Please note that there are only baskets - no shelves - so you have to use the baskets whether you like them or not because the stand only has the supports, not a solid surface as we'd hoped. The unit is all wood but roughly finished with uneven grain on the top. Due to size constraints, we are keeping the stand but will continue to look for something better. The color (cherry) is darker than most stains for that designation. It comes assembled.
