Glo Pals Toddler Sensory Play Jar - Purple

I bought this after seeing an influencer show this item, little did I know it was just an empty jar.

The idea is a great one. A sensory jar that locks, is durable and has cool sensory properties that you can add too based on kids interests (one kid loves Dino’s and green glitter, other kiddo loves cats and purple…) BUT, it falls short. It has no time out on its light so if left will just run out the batteries, which by morning it was dead and needed new batteries. It also requires that you completely empty it and let it dry out after 24 hours of use, which also, not helpful with glitter an a child’s desire to have it in use and not give it up. Fix those things and this could be super great for kiddos with sensory needs

False advertising. All the photos show a glowing jar with fun colored toys inside. This came as an empty jar with no fillers included to add to it. Only the ppl paid to leave a review got those.

I unfortunately can't recommend this for ASD kiddos. My son was able to break it with his first use (he dropped it) and they dont habe a warranty.

All it shows is one color and everytime I tap it it's just red and it blinks but only the color red

I bought this because it was on all the Christmas gift lists this year. I think it's false advertising as the images show a light up container with beautiful floating glitter. It's an empty jar. I imagined it would be sealed and fun to watch with an on/off switch. As you can see from other reviews, it lights up with the addition of water and can be opened. no No glitter or other items included.

My son has autism and he loves these! We have them in just about every color, and I do not dump the water each time because he plays with this every single day multiple times. I just flip them upside down when he isn't playing with them so the batteries don't get used up so quickly, or I add one of the lightup cubes to them. We have only had an issue with one of them with the screws stripping, but other than that these have held up well. I will continue to order as this was a huge YES for us, and he is rough with things.

Not recommended, didn’t work after 2 weeks

Normally I only leave a review if it’s something I really like or really don’t like. I thought I was going to like this. You have to change out the water and insides every so often. But if you forget to change it for even a day, it’ll be ruined. If your toddler throws it at all, it’ll break. It’s made for older kids, I guess. It’s a cute idea, but not actually feasible as a toy for toddlers.

Great Sensory/calming jar that my daughter immediately loved and settles her! It's so pretty! But it needs an on off switch! And the fillers should come with resealable bags!

Will not buy again. I've tried to get this to work several times and it won't light up.

My daughter loved filling this play jar with some cool fillers that she found around the house :) She had so much fun with it. It looked so pretty in the dark you can see the jar changes color every few seconds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all, the product requires 3 batteries (not included and needs a x screwdriver). Because of the big amount of small parts, the toy cannot be played without closeup supervision. Once it filled with water, it becomes very heavy (indicated 18 months is not appropriate age for this toy). The lights are very bright and flashing constantly, I worried that it can negatively affect toddlers’ mood. My children were all interested in this new toy, but the little one was tired of lifting a heavy jar, and lost interest.

My mother ordered this for my daughter and I was so excited to put it together. But was upset cause it's just the jar there was no add in for it. Like the idea just wish it had stuff to go in it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised with how many decorations this came with to add to the jar! My 3 year old daughter loved all of the glitter & being able to fill it up with what she wanted. The instructions say to drain the water out when not in use (which of course we ignored). The light at the bottom changes colors when it's tapped or moved & it turns off if you flip it upside down, so we store it upside down. The lid is removed by squeezing the handles together & twisting off the lid, so I feel it is pretty secured. We have been using this for about a month now & we have had no leaks or complaints!! My little one & I both love this sensory jar. It's great for settling down at bedtime.

It held my 4 year olds attention for a whole minute. I guess it’s better for infants? But it seems like if an infant threw this toy from a high chair, it’d crack. The plastic doesn’t seem very sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find this toy just ok. My daughter wasn’t really into it. You have to take the water out of it every day and for the lights to go off. I wouldn’t personally purchase this.

This is the coolest item I’ve got for my kids, they were so impressed when we first got it going and they’ve wanted to play daily to see it glow and light up.
