Lid redesign
The lid would be better if hinged. I have a wooden one designed that way but the squirrels chewed it up. I placed this one on a pole with baffle. I don’t like the hanging strap. Otherwise a nice feeder but should include feeding cup.

4 out of 5 Stars
This would be a five star review, as the feeder is beautiful and sturdy, but it doesn't come with the feeding cup that is supposed to sit in the center and Bird's Choice doesn't even have one avaiable. So just beware that you're getting an incomplete product with no good way to have it fully function as intended.

Blue bird feeder
My bluebirds were using within one hour after installation and the Starlings and Robin's could not enter, Feeder appears well made and durable.

Good value, uncertain results
I was excited to find this feeder to help keep Starlings out of the mealworms and give bluebirds a shot at them since they were nesting in my area. Sadly after a lot of trial and error to offer food in this feeder to the smaller birds, the only birds who have entered are Carolina wrens, and just rarely. I tried leaving the sides out until noticed but only Starlings cleaned it out quickly. I tried one side only, I tried clipping the lid up with a gap, I tried clipping the sides up to help show an entry. Again the only bird in as a Carolina wren and it used the entrance hole. I think the interior may be too small for bluebirds to be comfortable going in. Open to suggestions. Mealworms are the food I am using, and bluebirds eat them well if they are offered in another feeder.

Not much luck here!
We had the cedar bluebird feeder sold here and it worked great for the birds but we couldn’t keep the squirrels from gnawing the wood away. So we bought this one, put it in the same place the old one used to be and NO ONE visits it! Any idea why?
