A: Hi Swirly P! The 20 Gal Latching Storage Tote is made of Polypropylene plastic, and is designed for general household storage. Most household storage purposes do not require suggested weight limitations. Our products have not been specifically tested for various weight potential, and we suggest consumers not overload them or stack more than three high. This could cause distortion or eventual damage. When storing items away, use good judgment and be mindful of the weight in each tote and place the heaviest tote on the bottom.

A: Hi sally11! Sterilite only uses high quality FDA food safe grade plastics that are non-toxic. These plastics do not contain PVC's, Latex, Teflon, Phthalates chemicals, fungicides, Bishphenol A (BPA), or antibacterial chemicals. Nor do we use them in the manufacturing process of our items. The material is definitely not AS strong as the infamous yellow and black totes but they are definitely stronger than what I thought they would be. I have two stacked up on each other and not creating any issues with the bottom one with the fact of one being so heavy with toys stored inside. Definitely worth purchasing again if you're like for something with big space inside but that won't take up too much space!

These containers are great! I bought a bunch for storage. They are the perfect size and I really like that they latch and stack well. You don’t want a container lid to pop off when trying to put your stuff in the attic. I purchased different colors to use for seasonal decorations. Christmas green, Easter or spring stuff, lavender and the taupe color either general stuff or fall decorations. I keep going back for more as I need them.

They feel like they will break if we put anything heavy in them and trying lifing it with the handles. The clip handles also feel like they will not last as you can't put much force on them again due to fear of them breaking. The lid bends when something inside doesn't quite fit - some people make like this and they look nice

These used to be so great, but they remade them and now they’re slightly smaller. They still take up the same room on the outside, but they fit less. They are also much more difficult to open and close. Expect a lot of finger pinching! They’re not as smooth operating 😅

I should have written this review a year ago. These Covered Totes are PERFECT for BEEKEEPING. I freeze frames of drawn comb, and because of the tote's dimensions, I can put 14 Deeps OR 24 Mediums in a Tote. The locking lids are tight enough to prevent entrance of wax moths so I am able to store these totes Outside right behind the BeeYard. The Totes stack easily, and I label them using Duct Tape so I can change the contents. This has been a huge advantage for my beekeeping team. At Extraction Times, I load up frames of Honey into Totes and haul them into my kitchen. I live in Holly Springs, NC.
