Description

Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action1 provides three benefits in one bag. This 3-in-1 formula kills and prevents weeds, all while feeding and strengthening your lawn. It kills broadleaf weeds, including dandelions and clover, and prevents crabgrass for up to 4 months. It also prevents other listed grassy weeds, including barnyardgrass, fall panicum, foxtail, and annual bluegrass. Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action1 can be applied to Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Tall Fescue, Fine Fescue, Bermudagrass, Bahiagrass, Centipedegrass, and Zoysiagrass. Apply with a Scotts® spreader when dandelions are actively growing. Make sure the grass is wet from dew or watering before applying to help the particles adhere to weed leaves. After 24 hours, water the lawn to wash particles into the soil to prevent germination of crabgrass and other listed grassy weeds. Do not allow people and pets to re-enter the treated area until dusts have settled. An 11.31 lb. bag treats 4,000 sq. ft.

Guests are saying

The product has received mixed feedback from guests, with some praising its fertilization capabilities while others express disappointment in its weed control effectiveness. Many guests noted that it did a good job of greening their lawns, but failed to eradicate weeds, particularly crabgrass and clover. The clumping of the product in the bag has also been a common issue, affecting application. Overall, guests suggest that while it may work for some, it may not meet expectations for weed control.

    White Clover Overload

The grass turned more green but instead of dying, the white clover took off! Scott’s was kind enough to refund my purchase price but until I can try something else, I have more white clover than grass. I applied the triple action product with a Scott’s Elite spreader at the specified rate of 3 1/4. Perhaps the 2 year old spreader is faulty but at the cost of it I hope not. It was definitely broadcasting the product. Either way, I have to wait 6 - 8 weeks before using another product. Going back to Weed & Feed.

I've been using Scotts triple action turf builder for a few years now, and up until this year it has always worked well. However this year the product has produced many, many brown patches in my lawn. I am getting ready to apply the Scotts insect control for the June bugs and I'm having reservations about using any Scotts product.

The instructions are confusing and contradictory. I followed the instructions closely, but most of the responses are not what was written on the bag. It "impaired" some of the dandelions, but I had to hit them again with Weed Begone to finish the job. I still have several patches of clover that were not impacted. I think they tried to do too much with one product. I will revert to Andersons Barricade for preemergence and Scott's Weed and Feed for post emergence weed control. I have not bothered to try and get my money back as it sounds futile.

Hi, we're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. For broadleaf weed control temperatures must be consistently (several days in a row) between 60 and 80°F. The lawn must be wet for the product to stick to the broadleaf weed leaves. The product must remain on the weed leaves for 24 hours. Weeds may temporarily appear healthier and greener after an application of a weed control. Weeds will die within 2 to 4 week period. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back. Limitations apply. Hi, we're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. Make sure that grass is wet from dew or watering before applying product. This helps the particles stick to weed leaves. Do not water lawn for 24 hours after application or apply when rain is expected within 24 hours after application. Water 24 hours after the application. Granules must remain on weed leaves for 24 hours without water to be the most effective. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. I gave it 1 star because it did help turn my grass green. I had a perfect dew to apply the Turf Builder Triple Action and set had my Scott's broadcaster spreader set to the recommended opening. I don't think it killed any of the dandelions - my yard is full of them still. I'm giving up on Scott's products and going back to a lawn service.

I applied in early April and thought that it worked because the spots with crabgrass from last year remained dead. It did not prevent or kill clover, chickweed, henbit, ground ivy, or spurge. It did prevent and kill dandelions. However, after 4 weeks the crabgrass began to grow back. I treated the lawn again 5 weeks after the first application when I started to notice the grabgrass coming in but it did absolutely nothing. This product is only good for fertilizing your lawn and killing dandelions.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Turf Builder Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. This will only prevent and control the listed weeds. Please note, the list of weeds prevented is different than those it will kill. Timing is an important factor for control. For best results, we recommend applying this in the late spring in place of your usual weed and feed, to control weeds and extend crabgrass prevention. If the crabgrass is already growing it will not control it. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back. Limitations apply. We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Turf Builder Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. This will only control the dandelions that are actively growing at the time of application, it will not prevent any from growing. Weeds may appear healthier at first as the active ingredient will cause them to grow themself to death. Complete control can take 2-4 weeks. We want you to be confident in our products. Hello Ryan. We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. To get the best results when making an application of Scotts Turf Builder Triple Action(I), we recommend allowing 2-4 weeks for a complete control of the weeds as well as applying when the weeds are actively growing, which typically occurs when temperatures are consistently between 60-80 degrees. We also suggest wetting your lawn prior to applying the product, if the lawn was not wet, the granules would not stick to the broadleaf weeds and not be controlled. Also, the product must remain on the weed leaves for 24 hours, however, after the first 24 hours, the product must be watered in. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back. First time user of this product. I'm trying to get my Bermuda lawn to my liking. I scarified my lawn around the 15th of April and applied Scott's feed with Crabgrass control.. April 28 I applied Scott's Triole Action at specified rate. Watered in after 24 hours and as of May 2nd I have a weed free and rapid growth in void spots left from scarfing and winter damage. My lawn is headed toward my vision. I'm pleased so far.

Applied today as temperatures are getting into the 60s once in a while but not regularly. Did so because crab grass is already present in yard. Also there were MANY very hard clumps in each of the two bags I used that required me to bust them up with my hands and some were so big and hard that I had to use a hammer. Size went from the size of an orange to the size of a half gallon of milk. Pretty annoying.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. If the product is exposed to moisture it can cause the product to lump. If you need to use tools to break up the lumps we do not recommend using the product. It should be disposed of according to directions. We want you to be confident in our products. Worst fertilizer product I have ever applied to my lawn in 30 years with a scotts broadcast spreader! I bought this product today so I have no idea how well this product might work over the next couple of months if I was able to get the product to spread evenly. I set my spreader to 3-1/4 per the direction and noticed that most of the time nothing was coming out of the spreader unless I hit a bump or banged the tub. Even when I adjusted the spreader to 5-1/4 most of the time very little came out. I ended up using less than half of what I expected to use of the product but I do not want to risk going over the lawn again given how uneven it came out. I checked the spreader when I was done and everything appeared to be working.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment when applying Scotts Triple Action and GreenMax Bundle and appreciate your feedback. We would like to learn more about your spreader. After applying Scotts Triple Action, your lawn will start to green up in 4 to 6 days with peak greening 8 to 10 days after application. This product will continue to green over the next 6 to 8 weeks. Scotts Triple Action prevents crabgrass for up to 4 months. The listed weeds will twist and curl within a week of applying product. After a week, the entire plant will begin to shrivel and roots will begin to dry. Complete control can take 2-4 weeks. High or low temperatures (below 60 and above 80) or lack of rain may delay total control for up to a month. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back. Limitations apply. I put it down three weeks ago in Southern Maryland. It possibly caused the lawn to green up a bit, but it did absolutely nothing for the weeds. The chick weed totally ignored it. The other problem was how it was clumped together. It took forever breaking up the clumps before it could be used. This is not a good product. Will not use again.

We're sorry to read about your disappointment with Scotts Triple Action and appreciate your feedback. For best results this should be applied when weeds are actively growing. This should be applied to a wet lawn so that the weed control sticks to the weed leaves. It should also remain undisturbed for 24 hours to give the product a chance to be absorbed through the weed. We want you to be confident in our products. For this reason, we offer a product guarantee. If for any reason you, the consumer, are not satisfied with the results after using this product, you are entitled to get your money back. Limitations apply.
