It never changes out of blue & after a week i couldn't change it to nighttime. I will be returning it. I tried the helpline & that was no help.

We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue with your Blue Pure 511i Max air purifier indicator light and nighttime mode. This issue can often be resolved by resetting the filter light indicator. To reset the unit, press and hold the fan speed button for 15 seconds until all LEDs light up, then release the button once the indicator turns off. Best ever
I bought this product to clean the air in our home. I have pulmonary hypertension and it has been a godsend at keeping the air clean and helping breath better. From the moment you turn it on, with minutes you can tell the difference. The air just smells different, clean. We are just changing the filter for the first time and to see what it has removed is unbelievable. I would recommend this product if you want to breath fresh air.

This seems to work--when I clean the litter box, the air cleaner nearby speeds up to clean the dust from the air. We'll see what happens if it's a smoky summer.I originally bought a larger model for my bedroom, but then bought this smaller one for the bedroom and moved the larger unit into the great room.

Filtering works, air quality reading not reliable
We bought this item after we discovered mold in the basement and our infant already has respiratory issues so it’s in his room. It runs well and silent, but the air quality reading is not accurate. It has constantly been saying the air quality is excellent and at a 0, but we feel the effects of the mold particles when we re-enter our home. We know it’s not a solution to the mold, (we have removal scheduled, so just managing for now) but it shouldn’t say it’s excellent air when we immediately feel headaches and congestion come back. We do not use the auto option due to this and just have it constantly run. We bought a different air purifier for our larger living space and it right away said the air quality was poor. While I do trust it is filtering, the air quality reading is not reliable.

Quiet and Efficient!
I have 2 Blue Air Air Purifiers... the 311i+ MAX and the 511i MAX and they are great! You can tell the differnece in air quality when you walk into the rooms they are in. I love that I can control them from the App. Even when on Level 3 (I have them both set on Auto) they are much more quiet than the Levoit I have in my bedroom. I can see another 511i MAX in that room soon.

So disappointing! Too fragile and poorly made fan assembly.
I bought one which was quiet enough for sleeping, however it fell off the night table and stopped working instantly. Way too fragile! Replaced it. First couple days it ran very quietly, then started making a faint plastic-on-plastic sound. Decided it just wasn't worth it. So sad, my family has owned BlueAir purifiers for about 20 years, most had metal cases, were quiet on low settings, super efficient on high settings, and built like tanks. So dissappointed.
