It just tastes nondescript sweet. No donut flavor. Texture is not bad for a plant based protein bar. However, it is very satisfying and doesn't leave me hungry.

My fiancé devoured the pack and seemed to be very pleased with the taste and texture! My toddler also tried a tiny piece because she was curious and ended up enjoying it as well so I think that’s a plus as she’s picky. The packaging was very cute and they smelled great, overall they did exactly as intended and were a nice treat.

TRUBAR is DIFFERENT! If you close your eyes and take a bite, it tastes just like a powdered donut! It’s really amazing. It’s not just the taste, it’s also the texture and aftertaste. These are going directly into my rotation. I carry some type of snack in my purse at all times because I’m always busy and on the go. Now, taste is super important to me but the ingredients, calories, protein and overall nutritional value is equally as important to me and “Daydreaming About Donuts” hit’s all the right boxes there too! I definitely recommend giving this a try.

I also like the ingredients listed on it ,and how it shows what’s not added to the protein bar .The protein bar definitely keeps me full for hours in between my meals. The packing is very cute and nice as well. The only thing I dislike is the grainy taste after eating it . It does have an odd after taste ,and I usually have to drink a beverage while consuming it .

While there is definitely the protein bar taste, they did a good job making these reminiscent of a glazed donut (but also a little bit like a cow tail?). I'm not usually big on sweet flavors, but I'd eat this if I was in a pinch and needed a quick protein fix. Only thing that I think would make this better would be adding a layer of the "glaze" in the center because that flavor disappears about half way through chewing with just the outer coating.

They’re made with pea and cassava protein so there are no animal products, and they also include real sugar so there’s no weird sugar substitute aftertaste. They don’t taste quite as good as a donut, but they’re much healthier. The glaze coating is a little weird and waxy, but otherwise I like these very much.
