I know that in my personal experience with a similar Hearth & Hand with Magnolia radio a full charge lasts about 6 weeks, but I only use this radio for a few hours 1-3 times a week. UPDATE: Our Engineering Team stated that in their testing they found that if the radio is not turned on at all, then the battery charge will last about 8 months. However for playing sound, since each user's habits are different, the team based their testing on playing pink noise continuously with the volume set to 50%, and the charge lasted about 8 hours. Powering the unit off and back on while in AM mode can also help reset the tuner. Remember that the radio can only pickup on AM stations that broadcast to your location. If you cannot pick up any AM stations from other devices in your area, then there may not be any in the air near you. Once the battery is fully charged, the power supply automatically switches to DC mode, allowing the radio to operate without overcharging the battery. In rare cases, doing so can cause the rechargeable battery line to short-circuit, which may result in the radio turning off even when plugged in. If this happens, the unit can be replaced or refunded under the Target store warranty.
