Q: Is it possible to disable or turn off the blue tooth or is it always searching?

submitted by Lb - 20 days ago
  • A: Hello Lb, Thank you for reaching out with this great question! This Hearth & Hand Retro Portable Bluetooth Radio will continuously search for a Bluetooth connection when it is "On" and in "BT" mode. If you do not want it to be searching for a Bluetooth connection simply turn it "OFF" or put it in "AM" or "FM" mode. We hope this information helps! If you need further assistance please reach out to our Tech Support Team at support@ttinno.com.

Q: Would this work for the beach and the drive in?

submitted by Sof - 2 months ago
  • A: Hello Sof, Thank you for reaching out with this great question! Our Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Retro Portable Radio would not be a great fit for the beach since it should not be used in high temperatures, extreme weather or near a water source. This radio is an indoor product, but it should work at the drive in if you keep it inside the vehicle and you do not expose it to extreme cold or heat. We hope this information helps, but if you need further assistance please email us at support@ttinno.com. Thank you again and have a great week!

Q: How long does the charge last?

submitted by Dridree - 3 months ago
  • A: Hello Dridree, Thank you for reaching out! Obviously the length of time between charges will depend on the amount of use, which is why there was no definite length of time named in the user manual. I know that in my personal experience with a similar Hearth & Hand with Magnolia radio a full charge lasts about 6 weeks, but I only use this radio for a few hours 1-3 times a week. I have sent a request to our Engineering Team to see if they have any additional insight from their testing, and when I hear back from them I will update this answer. Thank you and have a great day! UPDATE: Our Engineering Team stated that in their testing they found that if the radio is not turned on at all, then the battery charge will last about 8 months. However for playing sound, since each user's habits are different, the team based their testing on playing pink noise continuously with the volume set to 50%, and the charge lasted about 8 hours. We hope this additional information helps. Thank you! And have a great week!

Q: Is the AM radio option supposed to work? Right now it only works on FM. AM is also FM and Bluetooth. It does not pick up AM stations when it is on the AM option.

submitted by Katie - 7 days ago
  • A: Hello Katie, Thank you for reaching out with this great question! Yes, the AM radio option is supposed to work, so if it's not picking up any stations, there are a few things you can try. First, make sure the mode is set firmly to “AM” and not FM or Bluetooth. Then, fully extend the telescopic antenna and try adjusting its position or moving the radio near a window, since AM reception can be sensitive to interference and location. Powering the unit off and back on while in AM mode can also help reset the tuner. Remember that the radio can only pickup on AM stations that broadcast to your location. If you cannot pick up any AM stations from other devices in your area, then there may not be any in the air near you. If none of these steps work and FM and Bluetooth are working fine, the radio may be defective and you can exchange it at Target. We hope this information helps, but if you need further assistance please email our Tech Support Team at support@ttinno.com. Thank you and have a fabulous week!

Q: I’m giving the radio as I gift so I don’t want to look take unwrap cardboard packaging to look at manual. My question is- does the battery need to be charged before first use?

submitted by HMC - 7 days ago
  • A: Hello HMC, Thank you for your question! The rechargeable lithium battery in the radio typically comes with a partial charge from the factory, so it may work right out of the box. However, for best performance and battery longevity, we recommend fully charging the radio before its first use. This helps ensure the battery is properly calibrated and ready for longer play sessions. We hope the gift is a hit! Let us know if you have any other questions by contacting our Tech Support Team directly at support@ttinno.com. Thank you!

Q: Can this radio be plugged in rather than using battery?

submitted by Surf4db - 15 days ago
  • A: Hello Surf4db, Thank you for reaching out with your questions! The Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Portable Radio can technically be left plugged in and used while charging. Once the battery is fully charged, the power supply automatically switches to DC mode, allowing the radio to operate without overcharging the battery. That said, we don’t recommend leaving it plugged in continuously for long periods. In rare cases, doing so can cause the rechargeable battery line to short-circuit, which may result in the radio turning off even when plugged in. If this happens, the unit can be replaced or refunded under the Target store warranty. We hope this helps, and if you have any other questions, feel free to contact our Tech Support team at support@ttinno.com.

Q: Can the radio accommodate both Bluetooth inputs and outputs? I.e., it's clear that it can be used as a Bluetooth speaker, but can Bluetooth headphones be used?

submitted by Craig - 21 days ago
  • A: Hello Craig, Thank you for reaching out with this great question! The Retro Portable AM/FM Bluetooth Radio - Hearth & Hand with Magnolia is enabled with Bluetooth input capability only, meaning it can be used as a Bluetooth speaker but you cannot listen to the radio with Bluetooth headphones using Bluetooth output. We hope this information helps! Have a fabulous week!

Q: How many lithium batteries does it take

submitted by Kim - 1 month ago
  • A: Hello Kim, Thank you for reaching out! Our Hearth & Hand Retro Portable Radio comes with a built-in internal, rechargeable lithium-ion battery: 3.7V DC,1200 mAh. These batteries cannot be accessed without taking the radio apart, possible damaging it. There is an external port for charging the batteries and an included Micro USB charging cable. We hope this information helps! Please let us know if you need further assistance by emailing support@ttinno.com. Thank you!

Q: Can I connect two of these for dual speakers? We like to move the speakers around as we listen to them and sometimes we are in separate rooms to work.

submitted by K - 2 months ago
  • A: Hello K, Thank you for reaching out with your question about the Retro Portable AM/FM Bluetooth Radio by Hearth & Hand™ with Magnolia. This radio is designed as a standalone unit—it’s a single speaker and does not have the capability to connect to a second unit for dual speaker audio. While it’s great for portable listening and easy to move from room to room, unfortunately, it does not support pairing two radios together for stereo or multi-room audio. If you need further information feel free to contact Tech Support at support@ttinno.com. Thank you and have a fabulous week!

Very cute and is very loud when turned up for Am and FM settings. Too quiet when on Bluetooth mode when phone and radio volume is all the way up. My phone is louder without being connected. Very unfortunate and will be returning.

It’s a really cute speaker and design. When it arrived, the item itself was unwrapped and the cords were loose. It almost looked like it was used and returned.

Oh man I'm so happy to have purchased this little green guy. It's adorable. Everything about it works perfectly. I get all the stations I want on it - crystal clear - even with the antenna down. The bluetooth hooks up immediately every time. The speaker is super clear. (There was one review speaking to the bluetooth being too quiet but they don't realize that the source - most likely their phone - was turned down too low. Turn that all the way up and the radio speaker will be plenty loud.) If I had any quarrel with this at all it would be that the antenna feels a tad flimsy compared to the ones I grew up with in the 80's. But even with that I'm considering getting a few more for different areas of the house.

I needed an AM/FM radio for a drive in theater. I found this one, and the description states it takes 1 AA battery. I purchased the radio, and AA batteries, only to find out it’s a rechargeable battery and it must be charged ahead of time.
1 reply from the Product Manufacturer team - 14 days ago
Hello ksg123, Than you for your review and feedback! We are so sorry for the confusion. The product description on Target.com states that the radio requires 18650 lithium ion batteries to function. These are a common rechargeable battery that are used in electronics to save customers the expense of replacing disposable batteries. We are so sorry that this was not a convenience in your situation. We would love to receive a follow up email from you letting us know where you saw a description stating our product takes 1 AA battery. Please email our Tech Support Team at support@ttinno.com to follow up and eliminate this confusion for future customers. Thank you and and have a great week!

I love this little radio so much! I got the green one, it is adorable. I got it more of a decoration piece but it is so cool and useful. The charge last for days playing and the Bluetooth connection is really long distance for inside in the kitchen or outside by the pool. Plus the real radio is cool too. I really love this cute radio. I got it on sale which is great. Love magnolia brand in quality and charm

Broken Antenna

I'm so sad to not be able to leave the best review on this radio. It's really gorgeous & also has great sound. Maybe I just recieved a faulty one, or I hope! I've ordered this radio twice! The 1st time it was delivered to someone else & I recieved her purchase, so once the store refunded me I immediately bought it again because I wanted it so much! This time it unfortunately arrived with a broken antenna. The radio does still pick up a decent signal in our kitchen, where I wanted to leave it playing all of the time! The sound is really great too, and of course it's just beautiful. I'm just so sad it's not fully intact for $50. I'd still recommend, just hoping I got a dud or it was damaged in shipping

Hello HayleyH, Thank you for reaching out! We are so glad to hear that the radio is working well in your kitchen and that you love the look and sound, but we are so sorry to hear that you had 2 bad experiences with your Target delivery. We are the manufacturer of the radio and assure you that it should not have come with a broken antenna. Even if you do not have the packaging, we would suggest returning your Hearth & Hand with Magnolia Retro Portable Radio to Target for an intact replacement so that you can enjoy the complete and unbroken Retro Radio. If you have any issues exchanging yours for a new one at Target please reach back out to us directly at support@ttinno.com. Thank you so much and have a fabulous week!

I love this product!! It has a great speaker, it’s easy to use, and has incredible battery life. Hands down do not regret this purchase. We used it at our local drive in movie theater and lasted for both movies with tons of battery life left. The Bluetooth is super easy to connect too as well. The retro look is also super cute. Definitely recommend!!!

It’s cute and lightweight. Am/fm works but has ZERO power of sound when using Bluetooth. I expect a $50 speaker to at least work well. I’ve bought $20 mini speakers that are louder than this. Disappointed because I really like it otherwise. If you try to use it outside you can barely hear it over typical outdoor noise. :( what a waste because it’s so cute too.
1 reply from the Product Manufacturer team - 2 months ago
Thank you for your review and feedback! We wanted to reach out with a few troubleshooting tips. If you find that the radio AM/FM volume seems much louder than the volume you get when you play music via Bluetooth, then it is likely that the volume on your device that you are sending the music through is turned down. The volume on your device may be turned all the way up, but then when you Bluetooth connect it to the radio it can auto adjust to a lower volume setting. We suggest connecting the radio to your device via Bluetooth, then adjusting the volume on your device all the way up, and then using the radio volume knob to adjust the volume. This should get you the maximum volume output available. If you still find the volume to be significantly quieter when listening to Bluetooth versus the AM/FM radio then we would suggest exchanging the product as it may be defective. If you need further assistance feel free to email our Tech Support Team at support@ttinno.com. Thank you for choosing Hearth & Hand with Magnolia and have a great day!
