Midea 50 Pint Cube Smart Dehumidifier with Built-in Pump for Spaces up to 4500 sq ft

I bought the midea dehumidifier about 2 months ago. It consistently reads the humidity level in my home 12% to 15% lower than it actually is, based on 2 different brands of humidity readers. (which read the same for the humidity in the house). I bought the first reader to help me determine which room to use the machine in at any given time. I bought the second reader because the first was reading way higher than what the Midwa was reading the humidity as. They both match in the reading of the humidity in the house. Disappointed because I bought the Midea based on different reviews I found on line.

Home humidity at 72 percent ran this on maximum for 24 hours and barely has any water whatsoever. Does not even drop the humidity 1 percent. Avoid buying this unless you just want to waste your money.

Very difficult to set up. Registration of the product impossible. I’ll be returning it

I have had no issue for the first year of use. This keeps my 800 sq ft house in the PNW at 40 % humidity nicely. I just have to empty the bucket set to level 4 every 3-5 days depending. I have thermometers in three rooms that also show the humidity level and they are all always close unless I'm taking a shower or cooking. I just dump the bucket into the tub whenever it's full. My only complaint so far is I wish it was a little more quiet. I liked this design better than the quieter ones for emptying and capacity and the quieter ones were also more expensive.

Filled the bucket twice, now won’t turn on at all.

Just after using this dehumidifier for two years with no problems it started icing up and would no longer drain water. Continues to freeze up.

I bought this 5 days ago and installed it in my basement and the humidity sensor was defective. You indicated that the humidity was only 30% when I bought it because the humidity is over 50%. I complained to Midea and they admitted that they’re getting many customer complaints about the unit. Do not buy it.

Just set this up in our basement 2 days ago and the difference over night was amazing. So glad we found this.

Bought this product in spring 2024. Worked fine through last summer and then we shut it down for the winter and it never came back to life. When we turned it on in spring 2025, the fan runs but it won't extract any water. Very disappointed that this failed after only one season of use (although we were outside the very minimal 1 year warranty). We will look for another brand on the next purchase.

Dehumidifier lasted less than 1yr before the pump stopped working, being 100% disabled I am unable to manual empty the bucket. Contacted the company, and they refused to honor warranty... now I'm stuck with defective product that is not functioning as designed & advertised. Also, even before the pump broke I was having issues getting the system to active. Had to manually turn it on because when the basement was at 60% RH or higher, the dehumidifier would read between 30-to-40%.

One year warranty...Well that about how long this product works give or take a few months...the cube I would not recommend

Not efficient as other claim no good. I’m very desappointed

I live in Texas, so dealing with summer humidity is unavoidable. After hours of research, countless videos, and reading through pages of information, I finally decided on this dehumidifier—and let me tell you, it does not disappoint. In smaller rooms, it drops the humidity by 20%. In larger, connected main rooms, it still manages to bring it down by around 15%. That’s impressive performance. If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate—just buy it. You won’t be disappointed. I’m already planning to get another one soon so I won’t have to move this one from room to room.

I bought this last year June 12, 2024 and the pump stopped working in June of 2025. Midea replaced this dehumidifier under warranty

Easy to set up and start using! I can't imagine having a smaller storage tank for the condensed water. Very effective and informational digital display. I would highly recommend this dehumidifier!

Recently added a dehumidifier to my "let's keep it cool" tools in my small condo. It worked like a dream the very first time I plugged it in. Within a short time, the air was drier, making it more comfortable to manage through a heat wave in a humid climate. It made such a difference, I wonder why it took me so long to buy a dehumidifier.

Was really wanting to like this. Has a connection to app over wifi and a built-in pump. 2 things I really wanted. Plus when the fan is running (It only runs on Low will not run on High at all.) it's quiet. Humidity screen ALWAYS reads in the 30s no matter what the humidity is in the room. I have an old Frigidaire and that thing is a BEAST but it doesn't have a pump and it fills up fast. It's going on 10 years and getting too loud for me so I was hoping I could replace it with the Cube... NOPE. Cube doesn't work correctly at all. I will be returning it.

I bought this product about a month ago to help manage the moisture in my 3 floor Chicago house. It has done an amazing job. My one big dissatisfaction is how un-ergonomic the design is, particularly when it comes to dumping out the water. It is a large, square, and high capacity dehumidifier, and therefore heavy when full. I have to do a full squat to lift it to avoid hurting my back repeatedly, and then carrying it to the sink is a sloshy nightmare. Unlock other machines I’ve had where the handle is at the edge of the bucket and can be carried with a straight arm, this one would spill everywhere if I tried that since the handle straddles the middle of the large square bucket. This dehumidifier is not for anyone with any kind of physical limitation, even a bum shoulder. But yes, very happy with the moisture improvement in my house.

This is the best dehumidifier ever!!! It draws out the humidity better than any other unit we have used . Thanks Midea for making a product that does the job properly!
