Q: If you remove the bucket before it’s full, will the unit automatically shut off?

A: The compressor will turn off when the bucket is removed. The fan may continue to run for a couple of minutes, but will shortly turn off. It is normal for some residual water still in the system to drip down after the bucket has been removed. Hope this helps! Thank you, TCL Customer Support

Q: When the unit reaches the indicated relative humidity setting, will it automatically shut off?

A: All our current dehumidifiers should turn off once they reach the RH level. There will be a 3 to 5 RH% variance. The compressor should turn off, followed by the fan, after a short period of meeting the target relative humidity(RH%). The dehumidifier measures humidity at the sensor inside the unit, not the center of the room. If the air near the sensor is still above 60%, the unit will continue to run. A: It may make sense to run both a window AC and a dehumidifier, depending on the situation. If the area you're trying to cool is very humid, a dehumidifier can definitely help. However, there are a few important considerations: Ideally, you’d want to run the dehumidifier on cooler days or overnight, since it generates some heat while operating. Also, keep in mind that both the AC and dehumidifier consume a lot of power, so they must be plugged into separate circuits to avoid overloading your electrical system. Hope this helps! Q: How do you use the “continuous drain” in the smaller unit? After attaching the garden hose, is there a button or switch? How does the dehumidifier know not to turn off when the tank is almost full?

A: Press the Down arrow until “CO” is displayed, which sets the unit to Continuous Mode. If a garden hose is attached, the dehumidifier will remain in continuous mode. You can also use the timer function if you’d like the unit to turn off after a specific period. If draining into the bucket, the unit will shut off once the float indicates the bucket is full. I love the size of this unit, the price, it'sweight and quiet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have an auto Shut off when it reaches your preset ideal humidity level. That seemed like a pretty basic feature

I would only recommend it for cold basements. This thing blows out incredibly hot air. I had it on for less than 5 min and it made the room 5 degrees hotter. Brought down the humidity from 65% to 62% percent in that short of time too, so there’s that. The heat it puts off is not worth the dehumidification to me.

I bought the TCL 25pint 2000sq ft dehumidifier yesterday. Last night I put it in my basement last night and the tank was full this morning. I've emptied this tank twice and I'm only 14 hours in. It connects to Alexa too.

I bought a drain hose to plug into the back of the dehumidifer to drain directly into the sump pump instead of emptying the bucket in the basement every day. It wouldn’t drain through the hose and water kept filling the bucket. Called TCL customer support and was just told to return it to the store I bought it. Definitely not buying this one again.

Even on the low setting, it’s too loud. I can’t get past the buzzing sound. It seems to lower the humidity, but it blows hot air and makes the room noticeably warmer.

Set up was pretty easy. In fact, I was flipping through the manual looking for more instructions, lol, but there weren't any. It was that simple. It's quiet and appears to have good humidity detection and is very compact. My Midea Cube 50pt was at least 3 times the size of this one. I'll update my review if anything goes awry, but so far I'm happy with it :)

At first I placed this in my basement because well, that is the most humid area in my house and it took about 2 days to fill the tank. There is also an option to run tubing directly into a drain but I wanted to see how the tank was. The noise level was OK. On low it was great, medium was well, medium and on high it was loud. The unit shuts itself off once the tank is full, which is nice. The only thing I didn’t like was the tank itself. It has a bunch of compartments, for what seems no reason. Pouring out the water should be an easy task but lucky for me, the water poured out of everywhere and onto my hardwood floor. So I dried it up as well as I could and placed the dehumidifier in the room. Other than the noise in high, this machine worked great and it saved my hardwood floors.

Let's me start with how convenient it is because it has wheels and I can easily move it from one room to another. Also it has no noise so very convenient to be used in the bedroom. I have kept it in my open kitchen dining area, and It seems just like a fan. It's working pretty well, and it collects at least half a tank of water in 2 days. As of now I have not connected the hose but emptying water tank is quite easy. I also love how it can be operated with an app.

It works at reducing humidity. A little confusing to use at first, easier to control from the app. Lost a star for the fan NEVER turning off, even after the level is hit. It's loud, even on the lowest setting.

This dehum is terrible - 1) it’s advertised to work for rooms 1500-2000sqft. My entire place is less than 1400sqft, and it would not reduce the humidity more than 6% total, despite being on constantly and moved around. I purchased another brand and type of dehum so I know it was the product. 2) The humidity reading it shows on the panel is a joke. And 3) when you remove the bucket to empty the water, water will leak from the inside tube into the bottom of the unit. Useless.
