It’s unsettling
I don’t know if this unit was broken in transit or what. 🤷♂️ They advertise this A/C as a very quiet unit but i can’t sheep with it on unless i have ear plugs or nose canceling headphones it’s so loud. Lastly, it turns on eco mode by itself all the time. Yesterday i baked, this morning i noticed it had turned itself on eco by itself again… so that’s probably why lol. 🤦♂️ So other than these two issues it’s great 😆

Happy and cool
We’re very happy with the new air conditioner; it’s amazingly quiet and cools our bedroom quickly. We’re still learning how to use some of it’s features and think the instruction manual that comes with the unit could be a little clearer.

Great Company
Midea makes an awesome air conditioner. I sent this back because I ordered the wrong one. They made it super easy to do that. I finally bought the correct model and I am very happy with the quality and functions. I now own 2 Midea units and so far, so good.

Keeps the room cool when it counts
The Midea 8,000 BTU is a quiet unit that is easy to operate, has a small profile, and keeps my bedroom cooled to the temperature at which I set it. I was really grateful to have it during the recent heatwave. My bedroom would have been in the mid-80's wihout air conditioning, but with the Midea going it was right at 72 degrees where I set it.

Exactly what I needed
Easy installation! Put in the hottest room in the house and suddenly the whole house is comfortable. No more hot air blowing from one room to the rest of the living space. This product is a game changer.

Great unit whisper quiet
Unit is super quiet! I hardly even know that it is on other than my bedroom being cool. I have a mid-size room 10×15 but being upstairs I upped to a slightly higher btu(room size called for 6000btu) I have side sliding windows, but with a set of brackets and some foam i was able to get the unit in my windows (barely). I wish the cord was a little longer so i could use the unused plug in my room but that is my only complaint. (I have a high set window where a Standard height traditional window would be fine). Time will tell how well the unit lasts but it's working fine during our current 90* days with a heat index of 105.

Great Unit
We purchased this A/C a little over a month ago but didn't install it because of the cool weather. We have since been using it about a week, we are very pleased. It was so quiet compared to our last unit, we awoke and thought it was off.

Works Great
Unit came in Perfect Condition, well packaged. I've only been using this unit 3 weeks. It's installed in a non insulated storage shed and keeps it considerably cooler than my old unit. I have it hooked up with Emporia energy monitoring. I can see where the Inverter design steps down the power usage when it can. In the heat of the day it uses straight up power of 710 watts ( that's when the outside temp is 0ver 93 degrees) So far I'm well pleased.

AC is incredible! It's so quiet you won't think it's on except it is blowing cold air. Enough said: quiet and keeps room cool

great AC
We bought this Midea AC for our attic room—and if you know anything about attics, you know how incredibly hot they can get. It has been working absolutely great to keep my son's room cool and comfortable. The design looks really nice, it has a lot of great modes to choose from, and the compressor is surprisingly quiet. Installation was pretty easy, but fair warning: this unit is pretty heavy! Make sure you have some extra help and proper support ready when you go to install it. The only real downside we experienced was trying to connect it to our Google Home. The setup process put us through a lot of hassle before it finally worked. But honestly, if you just need a powerful, reliable AC to keep a hot room cool, this is absolutely perfect. Highly recommend!

Excellent smart cooling with easy Alexa control, but replace the flimsy foam window seal
I bought the Midea MAW12V1YWT-S 12,000 BTU cool-only Energy Star inverter window AC from Target for $354.50, which included tax and free shipping, because my apartment had no air conditioning. I have used it for six months, typically running it for a few hours on warm days or when I am playing PC games and my home office gets hot. First impressions were excellent. Setup was simple and the unit was easy to assemble, though as with any window AC, you need to be very careful not to touch the fins on the rear of the unit during installation. Ease of use is a major highlight. It is incredibly simple to configure with Alexa for hands-free voice operation. With voice control enabled, you just say ‘Alexa, turn on the AC’ or ‘Alexa, set the AC to 70 degrees’. The included remote is also great because it glows in the dark, making it easy to use at night without turning on the lights. In terms of quality, the main unit seems to be built well. Over the past six months, I have had no defects, missing parts, or failures. The cooling works exactly as it should. However, the one thing that did not work well was the provided window seal. The included foam is flimsy and cheap. You will definitely want to buy better foam to seal the window properly and keep the cool air inside. Value for the money is excellent. For the price, you get an efficient, Energy Star-rated small-sized window unit that is easy to install and Alexa and Wi-Fi capable. If you do not care about voice control, this particular unit might not be the one you want, as you might be able to find a basic model without Wi-Fi capability that might be cheaper. But for my needs, the smart features easily justify the cost. I rate this unit 5 stars and would absolutely buy it again. Anyone looking for an efficient and easy-to-install window unit should be happy with this purchase. --- Crafted by WaxFrame v3.63.136 Pro in 4 rounds and 12 minutes. waxframe.com

Do NOT buy AC from Target
we received a damaged unit, also left in the rain ahead of high heat. The metal frame is dented. Target is not at all helpful. Only option is buy another AC and return the damaged one. Used my tartget card and gift cards, which is not credit, and wasn't cheap. Target would not offer any kind of gift card or discount for all of the trouble. It was the shipping of the item that is likely the issue, it was mishandled and then left in the driveway in the rain as well. Very heavy, not an easy process to return and out $$$ to buy a new one while Target received my payment.

Bought 3 AC (8000 BTU)
Started using it for about 2 weeks now and it works fine, but after the first week so I noticed that whenever I put the mode in cool and fan in low there's an unwanted mechanical noise coming from the inside of the ac. So Im keeping an eye on it. No problems with the installation and I'll update in a few weeks or maybe months if anything goes wrong. For now since theres no problem whatsoever I'll give it a 4 star.

Good, Quiet and Energy Efficient
We have had this air conditioner all summer. Our bedroom is upstairs and fairly large with cathedral ceilings. We do not have central air. I have been very happy with this air conditioner. It is quiet and you can set it to the temp you want and it will cycle on and off. To the one reviewer who gave one star and complained that this unit does not blow heat; this air conditioner is not supposed to blow heat. It is only for cooling. Delivery of our A/C was faster than we were promised.

SOOO QUIET
We bought this during a 100+ degree heatwave after another unit died. It is so quiet that when I turn the LED lights off to sleep, my husband asks if it's on. Seriously, it's insanely quiet and puts out VERY cold air. The reason I gave it four stars and not five is that the fan isn't very strong. The cold air doesn't get pushed as far out into the room as older units were able to. But I guess if the fan was stronger it would ruin the whisper quiet wonder of this unit. All in all we are very please and just hope it lasts longer than our last couple of units from other brands that died after 2-3 seasons.
