The positives of the ultrasonic pest repellers: You get 6 of them to spread out around your house. I have noticed less bugs lately, especially earwigs and flies. They are easy to plug in and turn on. They also have a subtle light that is nice. The negatives: it has two modes, one for day and one for night. Honestly the day mode to me is unusable. It makes an audible sound that would drive anyone nuts. I don't know how this could be used in your house. Still early to completely say they help with pest control, but I have seen less so far. I honestly can't say I love these, just because it really only has one mode.

My first impression of these out of the box is that they're small and compact. I was immediately confused by the instructions on the box and the pamphlet inside the box It's apparent these were translated into English and not very well. I eventually went to the Target website which is where I suggest you go to get easy to understand instructions that make sense. I've only had these a week and I love that they're silent, with the option to make them audible for whatever reason you might want to hear it working. It will emit a buzzing sound every few seconds and turns on a light that will attract any flying insects you are trying to hit with the sound waves. You may also choose to keep them silent with just a very small light letting you know it is on. I like the way these are very unobtrusive in the wall plug. It is not the type of product you see working right away, unless I'm you are infested with bugs. Every now and then we get spiders in our basement so I'm very anxious to see if they disappear. Also, these will work in the outlet whether you chose to plug it into the top or bottom and won't block the other outlet.
