Q: Arabica coffee beans?
A: Thanks for your question. Our Colombian Coffee is made of 100% Arabica coffee beans sourced from Colombia.
submitted byFolgersCustomerService - 3 years agoBrand expertA: NO. According to Folger's, "Classic" is a combination of arabica and robusta. The "classic" beans come from various countries. The OP asked the question on a page for Folgers "Classic" NOT Colombian.

Q: What process is used to decaffeinate this coffee? Is it organic/water based? Or are chemicals used?
A: Thanks for your question, Sharon. We use ethyl acetate direct process. In the ethyl acetate process, we begin by steaming the beans, which draws the caffeine to the surface; ethyl acetate is then added to the beans to extract the caffeine. After the caffeine is removed, we steam the beans again, and then we’re ready for roasting.
