This says it’s a beginners kit and we thought it would be a fun way to start. I appreciate that the instructions come with a video how to as well because they are really hard to figure out. It’s definitely a learning technique and this is a pricey way to get into a new hobby. However, I do feel like they are high-quality and pretty durable kits. It’s a fun learning activity, but you need a lot of patience and time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Woodley Sam the Sloth beginner crochet kit is complete with everything you need to get started to learn this craft skill from yarn to hook to even the eyes to finish the sloth.The yard appears good quality, smooth and almost snage proof .The bonus is a step by step video that is almost fool proof .The kit is suitable for not only adults but also youth twelve and older.The nice thing about this kit is that it goes together quickly ,taking about 2/3 hours and works for both right or left handed people . Recommend this beginning craft kit for anyone wanting to learn to crochet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 12 and 14 year old could not get the hang of this. After the older one gave up I gave it a shot. We are all beginners. The video instructions are very difficult to follow. It's multiple small videos in one section for each section, but you can get mixed up very easily if you try to go back. I made it up to round 4 and have to start all over for the third time becausei mixed something up. I may look at videos elsewhere about learning how to do it through the pdf. I tried between 10am and 430 pm and just don't have the ambition anymore. The guide pins and needles catch on the threads of the yarn. It will go through the string so makes it difficult to put the markers in.

It came with all the materials you need and a QR code to scan that takes you to step by step video instructions. My daughter was able to easily follow each tutorial video to create her sloth without having to get help from me. The instructional videos were well made and broke each step down perfectly. It took my daughter about a week to complete and she is eager to do another one! I love that after using the kit, you get a nice crochet hook and extra supplies with enough yarn to make another one. It's a fun project that my daughter would work on in her room while listening to music or on the couch while watching TV. It's a wonderful way for a beginning crafter to make something really cute with lots of instruction. You can easily use the skills you learned from this one project and make other types of crocheted items as well.

This is a cute way to start crocheting. I think this makes a great gift for anyone looking to learn crocheting. The character is adorable. I do wish printed instructions were included.
