The ceramic-lined water jug has received positive feedback for its ability to keep drinks cold and its stylish design. Guests appreciate the customization options and the absence of metallic taste, making it ideal for outdoor activities and long workdays. However, some concerns were raised about the lid design and insulation performance, particularly regarding ice retention. Overall, it is a solid choice for hydration needs, especially for those who value aesthetics and functionality.

Insulated thermos is great!
I bought this to take to dog trials where I need to keep hydrated while I’m working the dog. Last weekend the ice I put in it on Friday was still there on Sunday. I’m in Texas where cold water is great to have in the heat!

The ceramic liner is great!
My husband had a previous version of this jug for the last 5-ish years. It is a great jug, too, but the ceramic liner in the newer version is even better.

Very happy with quality & even improved since our first purchase
This is our second Outback Jug. We were very happy with the first one yet pleased at the changes & improvements we didn't even know were needed. The silicone base is a nice addition, and the grip handle is improved as well (that is what wore out on the first one). Perfect for drinking water throughout the work day. Definitely recommend!

Not very good.
Not very insulated, ice melts within 4 hours. Not very happy with this purchase.

1 gallon jug
The opening where you drink the water from is too large the water spill all over. Last version was better for drinking comfortably and the cap to close it is not good. Last version was better at this. Good change to the grip.

Great value, happy with my purchase
I have been using the RTIC one gallon jug for a few weeks now. I am hard on stuff (arborist) and whatever I bring to work needs to tolerate being tossed into trucks and tool bins. So far the jug is holding up well. No major dents or scratches. The coating seems reasonably tough - probably about the same is the Yti bottles. I have both. The RTIC jug keeps water cold for the whole day with a bit of ice. I previously had a 1/2 gallon RTIC jug and it held up well too - but then made substantial improvements with the new design. The foam on the bottom of the new one is really nice. Keeps the jug from rattling in the truck and prevents the jug from sliding around. The wide mouth is good. I think the old design had a smaller opening. Last, I like the handle on the new design. The material seems much more robust. Very happy with my purchase, and even happier I got a fun color on sale.

1/2 Gallon Jug
I’ve been a long time fan and customer of RTIC products. I had the old 1/2 gallon jug that has the styrofoam insulation. I bought the newer bottle with a ceramic liner so I can wash it in the dishwasher for convenience. This bottle sweats, and does not keep ice nearly as long as the older bottle. Is mine defective?

Best ever
This is the perfect size for what I bought it for. Keeps my beverage, nice and cold for a very extended period of time. Easy to clean, easy to carry, and easy to drink out of. I love it.

Jug is "No Buenos"
Does not keep ice near as long as the tumblers or the bottles. Ice will not last a full day in this thing. My tumblers and bottles will still have ice left over 24 hours later

Does not last
I bought this so my water would stay could. Deliver the mail and I am outside for about 4 hours a day and by the time I and done the ice is melted and the water is warm. I actually have the 32oz one and it is the total opposite. The ice in the 32oz last for 24 hours were the ice in the half gallon only last 6 hours.

Quality Jug. Could have a better lid.
I really like this water bottle. The ceramic interior is great for keeping the water tasting good, the insulation keeps liquids cool, and it's giant size means I don't run out of water. I also love the fact that it is customizable. My only suggestion would be changing the lid desgn. The smaller drinking cap on top of the lid has come out of the rubber loop once already so some more security for that cap would be good. Also, the cap is quite smooth so it can be hard to unscrew it after it is screwed on; it would be great if there was some sort of texture that helps you grip the cap better. All in all it's a good product for a reasonable price.

Quality issues with lid
The one gallon water jug is average. The lid however is subpar. It is not a insulated lid and was so beat up that pieces of plastic were peeling off the inside edge. This is of either poor quality or poor inspections before assembly. I am currently not using this jug.

I really have enjoyed using
I really have enjoyed using this product so far. The only thing I wish was different is where you drink from. In my opinion, it is too wide and makes it a little challenging to not spill.
