Q: What is the powder coating made of? Why is there a need for a powder coating over the steel?

  • A: Powder coating is essentially epoxy. It's polymer powder, resin, color pigments, other binding agents etc to get it to bond with metal. The purpose is to protect steel from rusting and it is more durable than paint. It will not peel off.

Prop65 Warning!

Bought 4 of these because of the clear Non-Toxic marketing. However, pg 4 of the manual clearly states the Prop65 warning. Didn't see this until after they had all been assembled and filled with dirt. Contacted the company for clarification. I received a very prompt reply, which unfortunately just stated that they were required under California law to alert anyone that bought them. I replied by asking WHICH toxins were contained in the beds that even required the warning. THAT email has gone unanswered. Extremely deceiving marketing! Beware!

Outdoor metal raised beds, easy to assemble.

I bought three 6X3X2 raised beds. Assembled in two afternoons, filled mostly with compost then potting soil. Getting ready to plant vegetables this week.

So far, so good.

Very simple to assemble. Have not been able to use it yet because of weather. I do wish a little more of the rubber metal covering was included for the "corners". But we did end up with a couple extra bolts and wing nuts. I think it will suit my needs wonderfully.

Excellent value and quality!

I'm very pleased with my purchase, I bought two planters 6 ft by 3 ft by 2 ft deep and already have them planted with flowers and lettuce and broccoli and carrots and broccolini and cabbage. I'm looking forward to a great crop as being a "yard farmer." I have to say I underestimated how much soil these would hold so just be sure you figure out the volume of dirt you're willing to invest in if you go this size or larger

Red Cube Whimsy

These planters will keep the bunnies out with style. We put two together over a weekend. They are easy to assemble but there is a ton of "twisting" to get the bow-tie bolts in place.

Return item sent, panels bent

Aside from being a returned item based on the box apprearance, 50% of the panels were bent at the top corner & some bolt holes were oversized and the bolt could not be used. When person lives 45 min (one way) from store, return is not feasible. Target refused to give partial refund for inferior product - said it falls to the vendor and they take no responsibility.

Good looking beds

Bought five 6’x3’x2’ beds. Beds came packaged well and with all parts. Instructions are easy to follow. Worse part was getting the bolts and wing nuts out of packaging. Each unit took about 45 minutes to put together. The FAQ asked about thickness and answer was 2-3mm. These are definitely not that thick. Could also use a third support. Once I filled the beds, there is a slight deflection.

Started rusting less than 6 mths after setup

Started rusting less than 6 mths after setup. We haven't added soil yet and the nails and screws are already rusting just from the weather in Florida. Very disappointing because we were excited to plant veggies in them. We one 1 as Christmas present and bought 3. Do not recommend, will now have to replace with different brand, waste of time and money. Looks great but otherwise not worth it.

Missing bottom part

The bottom flat with drainage is missing. Trying to contact and it's difficult, the site doesn't include a reason why, just click a dot. Plus it said 45 minutes for one person to do, my poor husband took 4 hours. And thats without the bottom drainage part.

These beds are huge and pretty easy to put together. It can be done by one person, but it’s definitely easier with 2. They hold a lot of soil so having organic mater at the bottom like wood or cardboard really helps.

Happy Gardener

I absolutely love my garden beds! I purchased three in the natural wood grain color, and they’ve completely transformed my backyard. With a full garden of flowers and vegetables, these beds look elegant and beautiful—so much so that my neighbors often walk over just to admire them! I plan to add more next year because they’ve truly elevated the entire look and feel of my garden. Assembly Tips: They were a bit challenging to assemble, mainly because the beds come shrink-wrapped in a tight layer of plastic that’s barely noticeable. It took quite a while to remove, and the process was a bit tedious—just something to be aware of. How I Prepped My Beds: To fill them, I started with yard clippings like sticks and other natural material at the bottom, then added a blend of garden soil on top. After filling, I waited about a week to let the soil settle before planting. I did need to top off with additional soil before I got started, which worked out great. Overall, I highly recommend these beds—they're functional, stylish, and a joy to garden in!

Amazing Garden
