Low quality seat and back

The seat and back of these stools are total garbage. The back is not covered/ finished with a laminate. It is coated with a sticker (think 1970s shelf paper), and the pattern they chose to print on the sticker isn't that appealing. You can feel it crinkle around the wrapped edges of the back. And the seat smells terrible. I have had them unboxed for 3 days and they are still outgassing and smell from a distance. That is a shame because they were easy to assemble, the directions were decent, they feel sturdy, and for tube construction furniture, everything tightened up very well. They also have a higher weight capacity rating than most stools. But the seats are garbage and I regret putting them together and probably should have returned them. The first bit of humidity, there's no way the backs don't peel.

Super easy to put together. I did all 4 in under an hour. Very light weight & very sturdy when sitting on them & standing on the bottom bar, although they wobble when they are just sitting there. The reason for the low rating is that they are COMPLETELY UNCOMFORTABLE! They hurt my bottom & back. The back support is straight up wood! & the “cushion” is super minimal & it feels like I am sitting on wood too. Definitely very well priced. If you are looking for convenience, inexpensive & available then go with these. But if you actually plan to use them, then stay away!
