I actually DID NOT like this ititially, it's tastes almost bitter and the flavor is too heavy, if that makes sense? liek there's too much sodium or soy sauce added. I was able to fix it (make it taste like the sweet n sour sauce you get at panda express) by adding a bunch of white granulated sugar to it and mixing, this made it turn the right color (bright orange) and the flavor was corrected. I gave it 2 stars bc I wish it had just been good on its own without me fixing it. I also wish they wouldn't add wheat to it for no reason, they could add corn starch instead to be allergy-friendly.

Tastes Like Straight Vinegar
Tastes like vinegar. I know vinedar is a nain ingredient in sweet and sour soace but this tastes like straight vinegar. I dipped 1 piece of chicken in it and it was horrible. I have a 2 bite rule for my family. A lot of time, the 1st bite isn't enough to get the full flavor. I dipped a 2nd piece in and it was horrible. I threw the bottle in the trash.

Best for basting
This Sweet and Sour Sauce is best used for basting meat, BBQing meat, as a base for making your own basting sauce. If you want a Sweet and Sour Sauce for dipping egg rolls, wontons and so on, you need to us Kikkoman's Sweet and Sour Dipping Sauce this sauce is delicious for - dipping !

Awful taste
The taste of this sauce almost tasted rancid even when it was 2 years from expiration. I forced myself to eat my food, but towards the end, I physically gagged at the flavor. Im not one to ever waste food, I always eat leftover and rarely let food go to waste. This was the first time I have ever thrown out my cooking. Target had this on clearance which is why I bought it, and I can see why.

If you are expecting it to taste like sweet and sour from a restaurant, this is not it. Not sweet at all. There's a recipe on the bottle that includes adding brown sugar and that probably does the trick but I wanted something I could dip straight out of the bottle.

Not sweet or sour, just awful
This tasted more like bbq sauce. It lacked and rich flavor, just felt like glue on your tongue and on your own homemade sweet cream cheese wontons. It ruined the dish. I will never buy another Kikoman product again as this is the second sauce by them that is dreadful.
