    Good texture, but pretty sweet and needed more sea

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I typically either make my own pasta sauce or modify premade ones cause I typically don’t think sauces are seasoned enough straight from the jar. I thought the sauce tasted good, but a little flat and the veggie flavors definitely came through though. I ended up adding salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic, and a little crushed red pepper. It’s also a little sweet (like a lot of other comparably priced jarred sauces) so next time I’ll probably throw in a dash of red wine vinegar to cut that down. I liked the chunky texture too, that part made it seem more expensive and high quality, For my personal tastes, I’m unsure if I’d buy again because it took a lot of adjusting to get the flavor the way I wanted but it had a good base with the tomato and chunky bits. But if you’re less picky, this is probably a great sauce with extra added veggies and a really nice texture. The jar was easy to open and close again so you can store any leftover sauce.

The taste is exactly what you would hope for from store-bought sauce - it does not pop in any particular way but is pleasant enough for any pasta dish. Some people, like this reviewer, can easily add garlic powder, oregano, or chili powder to add that "pop" but for others, the mix of herbs already in the sauce may be sufficient.

    Good base sauce

It's a little sweet and I ended up adding some extra seasoning while cooking. I think it's a good base sauce that you can add to and get your desired flavor.
