I love this facial cleanser, if you have very oily skin or very sensitive skin this works amazingly. It makes my face feel so clean and smooth. I use it every morning and night. My skin has never felt better after using this. If you want amazing results make sure you are using it consistent. I highly recommend.

i am so upset at the fact that this has happened to me twice now. I purchased this product in june/2025.There has been this black pigment of some sort inside of my product.I was washing my face and decided to look inside of it and there it was that black stuff in it. What upsets me the most is that its a waste of product now also i have no clue what it is and its basically in my skin.

A beautiful cleanser that is gel/liquid, but foams upon application with water. It has minimal scent, and is in a simple pump bottle for easy use and storage. What is this smell?
I have used Cerave for several years. However, I recently opened a new cream-to-foam cleanser and it smelled—like meltedwax? (These products don’t usually smell.) I have not used this particular one before. Has CeraVe changed it formula?

Without masking fragrances, the natural scent of the ingredients—such as the surfactants and essential ceramides—can sometimes be more noticeable, and some consumers perceive this as a light, waxy, or clinical aroma. If the scent seems particularly strong or different from what you would expect from a dermatologist-developed product, we recommend checking the consistency of the cleanser; it should remain a smooth, creamy texture that transforms into a light foam. To maintain the best quality, we suggest storing your cleanser in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
