We ordered a smaller version of this rug for our nursery. It was fantastic—soft and gorgeous. Yes, wool rugs shed A LOT, especially at first Flash forward to this summer. We opted to order the 9x12. BIG MISTAKE. The freight forwarding company Target uses is unscrupulous (they lie) and bad at their jobs. The plastic covering was torn up, which left us with a damp rug covered in a greasy, black residue that stained the exposed rug. Still sitting here over a month after ordering with no undamaged rug. Target received 100% payment immediately, however. Target customer service has been very disappointing as well. Would love to be thrilled with my new rug because it would be perfect for the space.

Overall love the size and feel of the rug. I expect the wool to shed. I’m a little bothered by how tan the gray option turned out. Was hoping for more of a cream, but has a yellow tone to it. I’ll keep it but just not the end goal. Photo doesn’t pick up the tan in person.

I’m so angry that I wasted money on this rug. I’ve owned many wool and natural fiber rugs over the years and am used to some degree of shedding, but this rug takes the cake. I vacuum it DAILY and still fill TWO vacuum canisters at a minimum. I’ve attached a photo of my fiber collection after vacuuming the second half of the bar. It sheds so badly that large clumps of fibers accumulate on the rug and even my high-suction Dyson won’t pull them off when not using the beater bar, per the manufacturer recommendation. See first photo. It’s a thick rug, so I was hopeful that the quality would be better than anticipated, but the insane shedding has made it impossible to live with. I have two kids and a non-shedding dog, and we all end up covered in carpet fibers from head to toe, and that’s WITH my daily+ vacuuming! It’s a nightmare.

This rug is excellent quality. It is super soft and very heavy. It does shed but I didn’t really notice unless I was moving it around. The color however is completely off. I knew this from the other reviews but the beige others described read very yellow to me. I wish the colors worked bc the quality is great but I don’t want a yellow rug.

I have never seen a rug shed like this one does. I received it yesterday, unrolled it and noticed the wool was sticking to EVERYTHING. I vacuumed the rug and the canister filled up almost immediately with the material from the rug (see photo - the vacuum canister was empty before). While this rug is SO beautiful, it almost seems defective to be losing this much material. I contacted Target customer service and was told to just return it in store, but I don’t have a vehicle large enough to even fit it in. Totally disappointed in the quality and customer service for this product.

This rug was very pretty . The design is well made. I unfortunately had to return to the rug due to the color . If you have a lot of natural light in your home , this rug will pick up more sage green , lavender, taupe and light pink . Very sad I had to return it but it was just not working in my space .

The rug is really pretty! But the picture definitely looks like it has some sage green in it, which isn’t true. The cream is all cream with some light tan and brown. The thing is that this rug sheds and sheds and sheds. It clogs my vacuum every single time I use it. I get it’s a wool rug, but I wasn’t aware of the level of shedding. I wouldn’t have bought it if I knew it was going to be constantly shedding.

This rug is great. I was looking to replace a more basic runner in our guest room that was worn out and was so pleased that Target still offers these wool rugs. I purchased one for our home a couple years ago, so I knew that it would hold up and be well made. This is thick and soft. Definitely worth it to purchase wool rather than the rubber-backed rugs (that are essentially made of tiny plastic fibers). It will feel nice under the feet when guests get out of bed and I like looking at it when I walk by the room. Just make sure to run the vacuum over it two or three times when you first get it. It sheds! (But it is minimal after the first few times you vacuum it.)

Waited weeks for this to be available, only to receive it and realize that it sheds like crazy. It's also not the most comfortable on bare feet. I am much happier with my marked down Home Goods rugs and wish we wouldn't have spent as much money as we did on this one. It's beautiful, but not for those who like to keep their floors clean.

Overall great rug for the price! I had been looking for a wool rug for awhile and didn’t want to spend $1k for one! I liked that it was thick and great quality! Yes is sheds but all wool rugs do! If you don’t want a rug that sheds then get a rug with a different material but that can come with off-gassing and harsher chemical treated materials! The color is cream/beige with some greens. The greens stand out more in person.
