Much as I like cashews, especially roasted and still hot, the raw nuts may or can retain urushiol -- that is the dandy oil that gives poison ivy its zing -- so do not let your tongue get ahead of you brain or think raw is better for you. But nuts are great, put them with batter into the blender and bake them into a no-surprises to crack a tooth nut bread

Not sure if I got a bad batch or what but I've never had a soft/chewy textured almond cashew or pistachio before. The only nut that tasted normal was the walnut. Almost tasted stale the day after I bought them. Exp date was 4 months out so not that.
