Not the same
Perhaps something changed in the formula? My red went from darkish to orange. My scalp flaky and oily. And significant amount of hair fall.

Do Not Buy!
Dyed my hair 8/12 & I bought this shampoo 8/15 as I thought it would protect my hair from fading but boy was I wrong. After only ONE wash the money pieces in my hair that were super red faded to an amber orange & I’m super upset. You can’t even see the red in my hair anymore. I should have listened to the reviews prior but wanted to give this shampoo a shot anyway. Please do not purchase this. It’s not worth it.

This is by far one of the most worst products I’ve ever used! I have bleached hair highlighted hair and it completely dried out my strands—my hair felt like brittle, coarse straw after just a few washes, and I lost so much hair it was heartbreaking. I also noticed scalp irritation after using it. It was way too harsh for my fine, highlighted hair and made everything worse instead of protecting anything. Do not buy this if your hair has been lightened or is already damaged.

Nice, but not for colored hair
I bought this to protect my hair color from fading. I didn’t bother to look at the ingredients, later discovering that it contains sulfates, which can strip your hair color. It smells nice, but the shampoo made my hair dry. Luckily, the conditioner made it softer again, but not too much.

I've tried other shampoos to keep my hair color lasting as long as possible. I've spent 6× the price on bottles half the size. My hair color is naturally medium ashy brown, and I color it dark plum (4 vv) every 5-6 weeks. This is by far the best shampoo I've used for my colored hair. The expensive brands don't even come close!!

Protects box color well but tough on coarse hair
Tl;dr version - this is effective and affordable but might be (or just feel) too stripping if you have coarse hair like mine. I have coarse, dry, and unruly Southeast Asian hair that responds best to a minimal routine + deep conditioning. After starting to box dye recently for gray coverage, I also turned to this shampoo after noticing fading and an increase in scalp buildup. This shampoo does its job fine: on a 2x week wash schedule, it seems to help slow down fading and has a negligible fragrance. I ultimately don't like how my hair feels after I use it - immediately after rinsing, my hair feels squeaky and difficult to run my hands through, which I've never experienced with another shampoo. I need something more gentle/nourishing and won't be rebuying but think this could work well for others.

Being a natural blonde my entire life, my hair was turning darker with spots of gray so I decided to color my hair for the first time ever and so bought this shampoo as a protectant. After the first use it basically turned my hair to straw. I know it was from this product because when I showered and wet my hair, it felt soft, but as soon as I used this shampoo and rinsed it out, my hair was clumped, tangled, brittle and dry. I used a deep conditioner to no avail. Will not use again. Would not recommend, especially to blondes with fine hair.

I don’t feel this “protected” my color. Will look for something different once this is gone. Plus my daughter dislikes the smell of this so everytime I use it she makes sure to tell me my hair stinks.

Bad reaction & leaves terrible residue on hair
Leaves a terrible residue behind on your hair. My bfs hair has dandruff after using this one time then he broke out into a rash so cannot use cuz we use same products since it's expensive nowadays. This won't be the one sadly and beings I color my hair I'm always watching my hair health overall for extreme damage coloring causes and this appears to only cover up what is damaged by putting residue over the hair follicle instead of truly improving the health of our hair which sadly is a common prob among drugstore brands these days. They put silicone & other stuff in the shampoo and conditioners to make us think that it improves our hair health cuz it feels great afterwards. Well I've learned a bit more than the avg person about this & I'm not fooled easily by that but the big clue thankfully was my bf and the residue of dandruff it left behind on his hair thankfully otherwise I never would've even looked becuz I had trusted this brand. Not no more turns out I shouldn't have trusted u all for over 10 yrs. Live and ya learn I guess. U all need to quit trying to cut corners on the consumers health. It's not how u tha k ppl for supporting it business year after year. I expect much more from a mass corp like this. You can afford to be healthy. You just choose not to and put us and our health in the process at risk. I could've had healthy hair by now. How you chose to thank me after using all these years ur products was by nothing. My hair is just as damaged apparently. It just feels like it's better cuz u have been covering it up with silicone etc. Nice.
