Q: According to this website the pan is made of carbon steel? It doesn't say so on the packaging. According to this website the pan contains aluminum. Is the nonstick coating a carbon steel alloy?

A: The fact that they took PFOAs out and added another chemical makes it just like PFOAs. Honestly why would you want to use this stuff anyway. Watch the movie The Devil We Know, and learn more about non-stick chemicals.

submitted bykracks - 2 months agoA: Hello, The pan is constructed from carbon steel. It features a silicone-based nonstick coating, not made with PTFE, PFAS, PFOA, and Teflon® brand chemicals. The pan was bent at the bottom, like it was dropped from a hight. The bent part was at the bottom so the spring part did open and close well. However, the part that was bent caused a warp in the bottom so when cooking my cheesecake most of the moisture leaked out the bottom.

This is by far the best springform pan that I have purchased. It is sturdy and so easy to use, inlike my old ones. The only drawback is that it is not dishwasher safe. I would highly recommend this produce.
