Known defects
If you're prepared for the magnetic base charging method to fail, with it being the one and only charging method possible, one month after warranty expiration...this is the watch for you to waste your money on. It's a known issue and xplora does not offer any support. It started at six months and I assumed it was just contacts that needed cleaning...this worked until right after the warranty expired. Their answer "Unfortunately, the watch's warranty has expired, so we are unable to provide a replacement or further support." X6 Purchased 10/24, trash bound as of 11/25...very light use.

The watch is a little big for our child right now, but she is only 4 years old. So it will get better with time as she grows. The app is great, and gives us insight into what we need. Recommend this even though it is a little big for us now.

We had a little trouble activating it at first, but after we got the watch active it has been painless. We are so glad we bought this, as it helps us a lot. Our child is so happy, and feels a huge sense of pride when he calls grandma and grandpa alone with his watch.

Great watch with minor issues
Overall the x6 play does what I want it to do. When everything works it’s the perfect watch. Occasionally the watch gets stuck with the location update. Calling and texting works, but sometimes the location doesn’t update for hours, that could be improved! One lasting issue is the charger. It’s a hit and miss and the reason for the missing star, no matter how well the contacts are wiped. Occasionally it even empties the watch instead of charging it. Xplora’s service though is fantastic. Even if a bigger technical issue arises as in our case, we had a new replacement watch after about a week!

I was expecting some kind of toy watch since it's meant for kids, but this one? It has completely exceeded my expectations! It's a real smartwatch... the perfect first phone for a child! It can make calls, the GPS is very accurate and works really well! I can't recommend this enough... my son loves it 💙

The X6Play has quickly become an essential part of our daily routine. As a parent, I truly value the school mode because it ensures my son can focus in class without any interruptions, while I still know the watch is ready for him to use once the school day is over. It gives both of us the best of both worlds, structure during lessons and freedom before and after. Beyond that, the GPS and location alerts have been incredibly reassuring. I receive a notification when he arrives safely at school or back home, which removes a lot of the stress from our mornings. The calling function is simple and clear, making it easy for him to check in whenever he needs to. What I love most is how the X6Play balances safety with fun. My son enjoys tracking his steps and choosing colourful straps to match his outfits, while I get the peace of mind that he’s both secure and reachable. It’s reliable, easy to manage, and designed with both kids and parents in mind. I honestly feel it’s one of the best investments we’ve made as a family.

This watch was recommended for my 9 year old and it has been a great purchase. It allows us to call each other easily and I can track his location through the app. Only contacts added through the app can reach him, which feels very secure. The tracking is not 100% accurate, but it is accurate enough to give me peace of mind when he is out with his friends.

Good and clear device. No unnecessary functions, just what the child needs. GPS works reliably and voice messages are the child's favorite. A little big for a small wrist, but otherwise an excellent purchase.

A good watch for a school child who doesn't need his own phone yet. Our child uses it every day and likes to send voice messages. The only small minus is that the charging cable could be stronger, otherwise a very good purchase.
