Since this is an ointment - it is a thicker ointment product so you might not want to use this as a your full facial moisturizer. We recommend using our Urea Moisturizing Milk as a facial moisturizer. At this time, Prequel does not have an eye cream in our range.

A: It is up to your preference, but you could either use our Skin Utility Ointment alone as a moisturizer, or you could apply a thin layer over top of another moisturizer at nighttime.

Clears up dry skin, not eczema skin. Causes clear eczema skin to break out with eczema. I bought too many tubes and have been re-trying it over and over for a few months with 2 different people who have eczema. They consistently break out with eczema and become itchier.

Disappointed
I received this ointment about five weeks ago. I really liked it at first and was using it every night. Then about one week ago it turned liquidy. Now it is no longer an ointment. I haven’t been keeping it near heat or anything like that. I’m disappointed. I love my other Prequel products but won’t be purchasing this one again.

Prequel is killing it!
I use this to slug almost every night and absolutely love it. Yes, it is mostly petrolatum and I can buy a tub of Vaseline for half the price, but here’s where they are different - Vaseline is thick and goopy. It’ll stay on my face for hours without sinking in, transfer on to my pillow and generally just make a mess. Formulation is everything when it comes to products such as these with similar ingredients. This ointment sinks into my skin wayyyy faster than Vaseline. I can go to bed 30-60 min before bed knowing it won’t rub off on everything, and for that I’ll pay the slight increase in price. Bonus points for it being in a tube. A little goes a very long way, so this tube will last me just as long. Every product I own from this brand has been a hit!

I love this! It’s definitely better in the winter months . I use it every night to lightly slug my face. I could definitely use Vaseline for a cheaper price but I love supporting prequel plus you get other amazing ingredients in this that Vaseline doesn’t have. Every morning after using this my face is so smooth and has a beautiful texture! I almost don’t want to do my morning skincare because it looks so good!

Best ointment ever
I don't think I've found a Prequel product I don't like. This ointment is a lifesaver. I think I usually have 4 tubes of it at any given moment to make sure I'm never without it. I love putting it on my lips straight from the tube. Especially being on accutane, it has been a lifesaver along with the Lip Visor. I also like to sometimes cover my face in it before bed if my skin is really dry or needs more than just moisturizer. I also put it on my hands whenever I rip them in the gym or any kind of scrape/cut/blemish anywhere on my body. This stuff is amazing. I also usually hate the feeling of an ointment because it's super thick and doesn't absorb as fast as I'd like but this skin utility ointment is so different and so amazing.

Obsessed 😍 I use this every night on my lips, around my entire mouth and nose, and all over and around my eyes and eyebrows. I apply this last on top of my skin care nightly. I will not let this run out. Definitely keeping it in stock. A little goes a long way, which is great. Great with tretinoin
So good!! I have sensitive acne prone skin and this product is excellent for treating the dryness and barrier damage that comes from using tretinoin. Very hydrating and healing, pleasant texture, melts into skin more than other petrolatum products which seem to just sit on top of skin. Does not break me out more.

Fixed my cuticles and changed my life
I pick at my cuticles and the skin around my fingernails. One little hangnail results in red, swollen, bleeding skin and cuticles. I’ve tried every product you can think of- EVERY product - creams, lotions, oils, even bacitracin, lanolin, aquaphor, medical creams, all of them. I bought this on a whim when I was ordering other products. I had no expectations. I massaged a tiny amount into the skin around my nails before bed and woke up with brand new hands and that’s not an exaggeration. I was stunned. it’s been just about a week and the dry scratchy hangnails are gone, the redness and swelling, gone. the damage is about 70% healed already. It takes the tiniest amount and it absorbs so fast with no greasy residue. This is a miracle product for me.

Too rich for my face, hard to rinse away.
I have combination, acne-prone skin with fine lines. I was super curious about this cleanser and had to wait a while for it to come back in stock, but I snapped it up when it finally did. I was thrilled with the pricepoint and the value when it came to the size of this giant bottle. As promised, this glycerin-based cleanser is extremely hydrating and silky, with no scent. I used this for a couple of weeks, but began noticing a big issue. I did feel like it took a lot of elbow grease to rinse away the cleanser from my face without leaving a film behind. Even so, my makeup began sitting horribly on my skin after using this for a while. It would break up and crease and these were cosmetics I had been using successfully for years. I didn't link the two initially, but then I tried discontinuing use of the gleanser and within a few days, my makeup problems disappeared. I just think this cleanser is too rich to be used on my complexion and it disrupts everything on top of it. That said, I can and still use this on my body as a bodywash, but I was so disappointed that this didn't work as a new value cleanser for my face. It is wonderful for shaving my legs, though!

Holy grail for sensitive lips
My lips are very sensitive and I have had many weeks/months where I have had sore, cracked and even bleeding lips. I have tried so many products to fix my cracked lips and all products I have tried continue to break my skin and hurt my lips. This is the only product that my lips will tolerate AND that also fixes the cracked skin! I recently forgot it on a trip and came back with hurt lips, in dire need of support. I found relief in only 24 hours of using the product again. I will never forget it on a trip again! Would love a travel size!!
